Anyone used this in an interesting way outside of a toy example?

I've got to give a lot of credit to the +Ubuntu team: 12.04 is a very solid distribution. The upgrade didn't break anything, and the resulting environment is actually better than what I started with. Multi-monitor support is greatly enhanced. The NVIDIA driver is running smoothly. I think I may be warming to the idea of the HUD. Glad to have rhythmbox back as the default player. Overall, extremely happy. Be sure to switch your mirror (their servers were getting hammered yesterday).

ECE 6612 Hacking Competition Results: Flawless victory! There were 8 teams. We were one of the teams. Of the other 7, we completely rooted 6. The 7th team didn't totally meet the rules of the competition. Many tried, but no one hacked us.

Definitely a fan of the new G+ design. Just wish more people used this over certain other social networks.

This is such a cool concept. The crazy thing is that while the interface is radically different, most of the software infrastructure exists. You really could have a similar experience using an Android smartphone now, albeit through a less convenient and slightly more disruptive interface.
We think technology should work for you—to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don’t.

A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.

Please follow along as we share some of our ideas and stories. We’d love to hear yours, too. What would you like to see from Project Glass?
