Just visited this place for the first time and made a huge mistake buying a year membership. I have a three year old daughter and she is too young to do almost everything there. There's a climbing wall she would love and is great at climbing but they would not let her because she isn't 5. There's a trampoline climbing area that she would love but was also not allowed in because she isn't 5. So we found the "tots" area on the second floor, she was so excited, we were very rudely turned away at the gate because they don't allow 3 yr olds in....so what are 3 yr olds supposed to do there? My child left crying along with other crying 3 year olds who couldn't find anything to play with.

We are sorry for your unhappy experience at the Museum. A refund for your membership is being coordinated. We hope you consider visiting us again in the future!

A great way to spend a Saturday. Lots of activities for children with a price that can't be beat! Parents must participate and work with children to make it a great experience. Yeah, it can get crowded, but that speaks to the museum's popularity. If I had a complaint, it's that my 16 month child is charged admission. She can't walk, yet, and couldn't participate. Besides that, the day was well spent.

Wonder, whimsy, and educational wow moments can be found here. I love the set up for little kids and older kids alike! Clean place with very friendly, helpful staff. One of my favorite museums in Houston. I like the area for babies and young toddlers upstairs too!!

A must for parents with young children! I would avoid Thursdays as it is free admission after in the afternoon and can become overly crowded.

Nice museum for older children. They did have a todler zone, but that was it. The water play section was outside, which struck me as odd. The ATM'S and paychecks for kids is an awesome concept. As my grandson gets older it made the list of things to revisit. Compares to Magic House St. Louis

Kids love the outdoor boat ramp play area. Other exhibits were pretty fun as well. Kids did get to try it all because of long lines and too many kids playing the toys. Tots play area was limited but not bad. On this day, it was cold and overcrowded. Don't go during spring break unless u like crowds and pushing your way through. The parking garage personnel overbooked and people s car was blocked.

This place is great IF your children are at least 7, and IF you have 1 adult per child and IF it isn't a madhouse filled to the max. I think in a few more years we may visit again, but there wasn't much my 6 and 3 year old could do, and I couldn't go into the baby area with my 11 month old without another adult to supervise the 6 and 3 year old. And even though it was a weekday, it was packed solid, very difficult to get around. The Kidtropolis was really confusing, and we were never given instructions. Finally tracked down an employee who explained how it worked. But there were so many kids there that products from the stores were being tracked all over, and it was too difficult for my younger kids to understand the concept of working for a paycheck. A lot of the other exhibits were broken, or confusing, or above my kids heads. Not really worth the headache.
