Doing business teaches us a lot of things, but not all of them are true, and some can actually hold us back if we don’t know what else is possible.
When it comes to construction accounting, don't let these five myths hold back your business growth.

I will never do business with this company... I stupidly had submitted an online request, and a salesman named David continues to leave numerous harassing messages... virtually threatening me, if I don't call him back... And this is the way they attempt to win clients?! He keeps saying, "You must call me back! I have an open order that demands your response." This ork should go work for a low-life collection agency. If this is how they choose to deal with a potential client, I can't even imagine what a nightmare it would be if I entered into a business relationship with them. And to the obnoxious sales agent named David, know this. I am collecting every message you leave, and if this continues expect civil legal action from our attorney.

This company shouldn't be in business. They over drafted our business accounts with unexplained fees and never offered to show us statements or explain where the fees were coming from. They always give us the run around or pretending like they have no idea what we are talking about. Do your due diligence before getting into business with Balboa Capital. A very hard lesson learned.
Response from the owner - a month ago
Lauren, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Given the opportunity, I would like to learn more about your experience with our company and do my best to make things right. Please contact me at your convenience. Sincerely, Derek Thomas (888) 225-2621

Worst experience of my life. Please review companies like this before using them. I have had two bad experiences. First one bad on them second time I should have learned bad on me. Do not, I repeat do not use Balboa Capital. If I could put a negative star I would.

We had a lease through this company. DO NOT use them. I've never had so many "fees" that I was not told about. We were charged a terminate fee of $480.00 when all we did was finish paying on the lease. We were also charged insurance charges which we did not know about until after the fact. We just got off the phone with customer service and they were of no help. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. The only reason I gave it 1 star is the only way to post review.

This is a lesson in due diligence. We decided to lease a printer from a local company who used Balboa Capital to fund the purchase. We have had the worst experience over the three years of this lease. Just the like the many other complaints we were charged insurance fees with no notice, charged late fees for billing errors and now are being prevented from returning our equipment. I had anticipated some push back in ending the lease but it has been a total nightmare. Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company. This is the worst business decision I've ever made.

Glad I read these reviews I was skeptical when my husband was considering doing business w/Balboa and getting a loan for his business. I always research companies but when they were asking for sensitive personal and our banking information. I was like no wait let me check them out and I see all these horrible reviews. Nothing positive or good means they are unethical and possibly a scam since they do get all of your personal info...thanks everyone and We say No to Balboa
Response from the owner - 5 months ago
Marsha, We don't have anyone with your name in our customer database. Would you contact us at (888) 272-1800 with the business name that your husband presented to us? I would like to have someone in our customer service division address your concerns.. Thank you in advance, Derek Thomas Balboa Capital

Just look at the BBB, RipOffReport and Consumer Reports for this fake "business". Their model is to harass companies then rush online to pretend they're legitimate, answering all of these 1-star reviews with the same b.s. line of "we don't have anyone by your name in our records". When ALL of your reviews are 1-star with the same exact complaints over and over, it's time to stop playing dumb.
