I'm not using this account for industry related posts as Google hasn't found a way to merge an old gmail-based account with a Google Apps account.

According to the WSJ, you can't see this because you're really over on Facebook.

Slight backfire.

KGO (local news talk station) misreports the SOPA blackouts with something to the effect of: "All these websites are blacking out to protest piracy...."

And then they proceed to instruct listeners on how to use Google cache to find content that was blacked out.

Take credit cards? Did you know you can call your merchant service provider and ask for a rate review? Often, it can result in a lower merchant fee for both qualified and non qualified cards. It's worth the call at least once a year. #somethingfornothing

Grumble: Google Offers feels like a spam page experience.

Must click "subscribe" to unsubscribe. Really?

Back button doesn't return user to search. Instead, users are redirected to... Google Offers page.

Know someone who's unemployed in the US? Turn them on to this little known resource:

http://www.edd.ca.gov/jobs_and_training/Workforce_Investment_Act.htm

The US Government will pay up to $6,000 for training courses for qualified unemployed. That's enough to get through one of hundreds of certification courses -- including online marketing, SEO, Social Media, and Web Analytics training and certification courses:

http://www.marketmotive.com/workforce-approved-marketing-training-certification

Where to start? Funds are distributed through state and local offices. http://www.careeronestop.org/ Find the closest one and set an appointment to go over available courses.
