1982 - This children's book introducing programming - at a time when computers were much less common! Is there any equivalent today? It feels like there is less although at least maybe the raspberry pi project might help change things.

'Tilt' ride in Hancock tower
The "Tilt" ride in the John Hancock Center observatory tilts people out 30 degrees to see the view 1,000 feet below.

I got up close to something from my childhood I never dreamed I would even get the chance to see in real live let alone touch. It almost brought a tear to my eye :)

For those of you that don't know what/who this is, this post is most likely meaningless. For those of you that do know, yes, it is absolutely the genuine real thing....

Thanks to +The National Museum of Computing for a great evening and Mat Irvine for a great talk and the opportunity to finally meet the legendary machine :)

Wheel em in - a classic old arcade game, the sign says its 1 of only 8 working machines in the uk? Surely not! I'm pretty sure theres one on Teignmouth and one in Great Yarmouth. Are these really so rare now?
