I've been busy at work creating package holidays for the HomeAway blog: a July jaunt to Corsica could cost just £142pp, flights and accommodation included, for a family of four. Take me with you!? Enjoy guys :-) Soph x

I wouldn't mind a #holidayhome  in Dordogne’s Perigord Noir... HomeAway meets a home owner! Interesting stuff; can I come and stay?

My latest blog, on my time at +Keukenhof Gardens last month – lots of pretty flooooowers (said in voice of skunk in 'Bambi'!) and pictures of me eating raw herring. Yup...

I hope you all enjoy it, and even get the time to visit before it closes on May 18th. Soph xx
Keukenhof: “the most beautiful spring gardens in the world”. Flowers in the Pavillion I can’t say I’ve visited all of the globe’s botanical attractions, but I do know that these are some pretty special flowerbeds. Keukenhof is one of the most colourful, fragrant and welcoming places

My marvellous best friend Terri Ferguson (owner of Hebrides Harmony, an award-winning #salon  on the #isleoflewis ) just published a blog on #Beauty  essentials to take on #holiday . From #makeup  to #sunscreen , there are lots of suggestions for #travel  in  there, and it's funny too :-D

Enjoy beautiful people! x

Sorry I haven't posted something in a while... been busy crafting new blogs on #italytravel . This is one of the latest pieces I've had published, and it's close to my heart – I just love #Sicily . And when it's blooming with local flowers in May, especially at the  #flowerfestival  L’infiorata di #Noto  it's just – well – wow.

Please enjoy, and check out my other #traveltips  on Sicily if you like (there's a piece on #carnival  season, and the #Palio  dei Normanni).

Here's my latest #travel  blog on things to do in #Kent . There are plenty of things that make it a great place to find rural beauty on the edge of the city: days out at the  #farm#surfing  at Margate; and one  of my favourite things,  #winetasting  at Biddenden Vineyards (for, er, obvious reasons...!). Stray just outside #London , and you won't be disappointed!

I feel so lucky to live next to St Andrews. Its breweries, beaches and bars, museums and magnificent green spaces were the perfect accompaniment to some rare Scottish sunshine on Friday.

A big thanks to all of the attractions that took part – and showed me such hospitality while my right hand is on the mend!

Please enjoy guys :-)

It's not all about golf and study – St Andrews has many sides to explore.

Was pleased to offer a comment on this blog about National Pet Day. I don't know if I'll manage to travel for it – but my basset hound Frankie will still be spoiled after we've been down to the beach! Enjoy guys x
It's time to celebrate our furry friends... Where will you celebrate National Pet Day? Did you know this April is National Pet Awareness Month? And did you know Friday the 11th is set to be National Pet Day? Yep – you can assume that all those slobbery, boxer-dog kisses have been asking you for

Where is hot this #Easter ?

For me it's got to be a #holiday  in #Sliema , Malta, though there are a few more #travel  suggestions in there for all you sun worshippers! I hope you like it.

Liiiiittle bit different to my post about Kent yesterday, but then we can't all jet off and  #travel  to other countries on a whim. I'm a bit of a snow bunny truth be told, which translates to me being a keen on  #snowboarding  (not actually tried  #skiing  before!), but I'm not an expert at it. I do like hanging around the slopes, as opposed to hurting my bum, however...

And, on that note, here's my new guest blog for Ski Bum!

Covering the major  #festivals  in  #France  and  #Austria , enjoy guys : ) x

Just finished this piece on #musicfestivals , and wish I'd had a bit more room to explore! Too many fests; too little time...

Introduction
I'm a young, freelance writer/editor looking to discover all I can, whilst having my head stuck in 19th century texts, that is. I'm a lover of frivolity and philosophy, and would love to travel as much as possible in the months and years to come. On my list of 'things to do' is to own a yurt, learn to hike and canoe, visit the rainforest, and eat the world's weirdest foodstuffs!
