There is beauty in the ordinary, as evidenced by the current show at the Wolfsonian. "Philodendron: From Pan-Latin Exotic to American Modern" showcases the beauty of a common houseplant and includes a 1939 painting by Henri Matisse, photographs by David Fairchild, Edouard Duval-Carrié and Miami-born Michele Oka Doner. The exhibition has more than 150 objects on display and runs through Feb. 28.

If you're an animal lover you'll want to check out Zoo Miami's new exhibit, "Amazing Animals." The exhibit showcases the adaptability of animals in nature and visitors can get an up-close view of the power of animals, including the bite force of an extinct fish, the burrowing power of an earthworm, and the speed of a cheetah. It's a roaring good exhibit!

Authentic Tastes of Mexico Discovered on Miami Beach.

Chef Steve Santana's Taquiza, a pocket-sized Miami Beach taqueria, serves traditional Mexican fare like huitlacoche (a corn fungus), nopales (edible cactus), and squash flowers featuring heirloom corn and hand-made tortillas.

Taquiza combines the delicate palate and tastes of Mexico with a modern flare inspired by the beautiful Miami Beach. Outside seating with palm tree ambience - what other Miami Beach Hostel can offer a comfortable stay and amazing food to match?!
