Just so you know, Jingles... Canada operated the Centurion for many years before getting the Leopard in the late 70s.

So called "lie detectors" only detect physiological response. They can be falsely triggered and fooled. They don't detect "truth".

Every time someone says "we can't really afford that right now" or "we could spend that money better here on Earth" I remind them of the $680 billion the US spend on weapons in 2012. That's more than NASA's entire budget since it has been in existence, including putting men on the moon.

Corporations will always try to control products, services, sales and the consumer. If they didn't see this as a threat to their bottom line they wouldn't give a shit.

Why was MegaUpload really shut down?

In December of 2011, just weeks before the takedown, Digital Music News reported on something new that the creators of #Megaupload were about to unroll. Something that would rock the music industry to its core. (http://goo.gl/A7wUZ)

I present to you... MegaBox. MegaBox was going to be an alternative music store that was entirely cloud-based and offered artists a better money-making opportunity than they would get with any record label.

"UMG knows that we are going to compete with them via our own music venture called Megabox.com, a site that will soon allow artists to sell their creations directly to consumers while allowing artists to keep 90 percent of earnings," MegaUpload founder Kim 'Dotcom' Schmitz told Torrentfreak

Not only did they plan on allowing artists to keep 90% of their earnings on songs that they sold, they wanted to pay them for songs they let users download for free.

"We have a solution called the Megakey that will allow artists to earn income from users who download music for free," Dotcom outlined. "Yes that's right, we will pay artists even for free downloads. The Megakey business model has been tested with over a million users and it works."

One of the best things about being self employed is having great clients to work for. I am lucky that way.

Hey Jingles... As far as I know, all Allied vehicles used the white star as "friend or foe" recognition following DDay, much like all aircraft used the white and black wing stripes. For vehicles it was used to identify them to Allied aircraft, which is why it was normally used on the top. Not sure if this was used ubiquitously until the end of hostilities, but it was in Normandy.

Big changes coming soon to Google Search, the WSJ reports. Actually, what it writes about is already here. It sounds like we're going to get more direct answers, but I don't think it will be quite the massive change as described. We'll see. My take, below.
The Wall Street Journal is out with a story saying that Google is about to make one of the biggest changes in its history of offering web search, providing more direct answers and gaining “semantic” s...

Google is set to trial a TV service to rival the cable networks.

It sounds like the package would offer both live TV and on-demand, but would be delivered to the home via the Internet (fiber optic connections).

Could be very disruptive if it succeeds.
Google has filed an application to offer TV service in Kansas City, Mo.

After playing with Search Plus, I was pretty stunned to find the Google+ suggestions show up even if you're logged out and anonymous to Google. There are serious issues in how it's pushing Google+ this way. And it also means, for marketers, you'd better have a Google+ account.
The new Google “Search Plus Your World” feature — which I’m now simply calling “Search Plus” — has just gone live for me. Huge debate erupted yesterday over whether it somehow favors Google+. I can se...

The Junkery folks were awesome. They recommended the right size bag for us, we filled it up over a couple weekends and they swung by and picked it up while we were at work. No fuss, no muss. Thanks!

The first time I dealt with these guys I locked the keys in my car. Pop-a-Lock came by right after I called them. They were really quick and had me on my way in no time. A while later I lost my keyfob and they were able to make me a new one way cheaper and quicker than my dealer. I figure the least I could do was give them a good review. :-) Thanks guys!
