Noordhoek is a wonderful place to live but of course the property and village is only part of the decision making process in deciding to live there.

Amenities play a big role in enjoying your environment and Noordhoek offers great shopping at the Longbeach Mall.

The Village is known for great restaurants but sushi was missing from the mix. When Andy and Lil arrived from North Beijing, they filled a hole! Although sushi is the order of the day, you can find an Asian speciality to the menu – from Miso soup, pad thai’s, thai curries and crispy tempura prawns… we think you’ll enjoy sitting down at de Noordhoek Lifestyle Hotel’s restaurant.

When you eat out you expect to see the whole menu not just a part of it. So how can you access all property for sale in Noordhoek?

You could do a google search. The 196,000 sites it returns may take a while to wade through though!

Much excitement this weekend as Noordhoek got a sepciaql visitor. The American President Barack Obama made his way through Fish Hoek from the Silverglades Sports fields toward Masiphumelele.
Black Hawk Helicopters and the FBI and CIA all looking very serious is not a usual occurence for this sea side town but we hope the American President and his family enjoyed their visit to Noordhoek, and hoping he may visit us again in the future!

Presdient Obama to visit Noordhoek today.

Obama will meet retired Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
He will visit one of the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation's field sites, in Masiphumelele, in Noordhoek, Cape Town.
Spokesman for the foundation Lavinia Crawford-Browne said the foundation was "honoured".
It has been one of the beneficiaries of the US President's Emergency Plan for Aids Relief.
"We want to thank the American people for their generosity and support," said Crawford-Browne. "Thousands and thousands of lives have been saved in South Africa [because of the emergency plan]," she said.
The foundation developed from the HIV research unit at the New Somerset Hospital in the 1990s.
Its activities include HIV prevention, treatment and training.
Obama will speak at the University of Cape Town at about 6pm on Sunday.

So you think that because you’re in Noordhoek, near the Southern tip of Africa that there is nothing to do at night? Well think again… Noordhoek Nights are busy and bright.  At Noordhoek Farm Village you have a choice of 5 restaurants just to get started!

Today we feature the Foodbarn in Noordhoek Village.

Franck Dangereux and his team have created a special place in one of the Barns at the Village. Sublime food, delicious and decadent ‘fine-dining’ style but in a super relaxed and characterful old barn. The Foodbarn Restuarant is open Tuesday to Saturday evenings from 7pm – 9.30 pm.  Special winter offer’s include 3,4 or 5 courses paired with wine starting at R185! Happy Days.   Also look out for Franck’s evening Cooking demonstrations which take place approximately twice a month and are free with your dinner.
