So our local police department has an interesting program coming up that is perfect for it's simplicity and outreach potential: Coffee with a Cop. No speeches, set agenda, radios, patrol car, or cell phone, just a cup of coffee and conversations about what matters with the people that are on the street every day and can help. The potential to gain understanding on both sides of the mug is amazing. 

Does anyone have any experience with taking a class in a MOOC? I'm looking at some for career development, not tied to a degree or anything at this point, and have seen some from Udacity, PluralSight, and Coursera. Does anyone have an opinion on quality and value? Am I missing anywhere I should be looking? Mostly tech (specifically Android development) and IT Project Management-based courses.
