Do not like this hotel- extremely noisy, bed very uncomfortable- did not sleep well as a result of both of these things. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8:30 this morning. I am checking out today and assume, just like with every other hotel that I have stayed at that on the day of check-out, they wait to clean your room until after you have checked out of the hotel. I was scheduled to stay here again on Sunday night (two days) and I have cancelled my reservation and booked elsewhere. Very disappointed in Marriott

Great city and perfect location. Across the street from the mall, 3 blacks from the restaurant road and 3 blocks from the river. I made a reservation on the national reservation line. On our way to the hotel I called to get information about the hotel and area. Brian not only answered all of my questions he also listed to me about my family. Brian surprised us by having a cot ready and all set up in our room (knowing we had 5 people). Everybody at the hotel clearly wanted to exceed our expectations. We had a great stay at the hotel.

Very disappointing experience: In addition to not having many of the amenities listed, our hotel room had ants, the pool had cockroaches, and we were charged for parking and using the internet and the continental breakfast, adding an addition $40 to our bill, something supposedly lesser hotels don't charge for. So the cost was more than we anticipated for the luxury of dodging ants in our room and cockroaches at the pool. Their image is all fluff.

Pool was closed when the hotel guest information said it would be open. No breakfast included wi-fi free but could only connect one device, sort of. Won't stay here again.

awesome staff!! Very Friendly and helpful.....if you get a chance visit Glen at the Salt Brick Bar.....he may possibly be the most awesome person in the entire hotel.....does an amazing job and makes it looks so easy!!!

VERY Disappointed!! Housekeeper dropped the F-bomb when we were trying to get the blood stained comforter replaced in our room. Stated "she F-ing took it out of the cover" when walking out of our room, referring to my teenage daughter. The comforter was out of the duvet cover when we arrived and I noticed two blood stains on it, so I stopped by the front desk and asked for it to be replaced. After the housekeeper acted the way she did and said the things she said I went back and told them we would be leaving the next morning! I got an apology, free parking (which I had not utilized because they want to charge $12 per night when you can pay $2.75 at the adjoining mall parking garage) and breakfast for two (there were three of us staying).

For some people, this would be a very nice hotel. Everything is very nice, and the location is excellent if you have business around the Convention Center. What then is my beef? If you want to bring a bus group there, do yourself a favor and forget it. The hotel is NOT bus friendly. They have no parking, driver has to take the coach almost a mile away, and then walk back... they will not use their courtesy van to pick him up. Because they have you by neck, everything is very expensive. To connect to the internet, which bus drivers and tour guides have to do a lot, it costs 13.00 per day, and then they only give you 20, not 24 hours for that price.They do not comp bus drivers or tour guides for their very expensive meals, even though the passengers are paying their exorbitant prices. In 35 years in the group tour business, this hotel is the absolute worst I have ever encountered for contempt for tour drivers and escorts... It would be cheaper to get your own room outside of town.. pass the word... BAD PLACE FOR GROUP TRAVEL... BAD PLACE FOR TOUR GUIDES AND DRIVERS
