How I scored Crossroads tonight: 5 stars: I had the pleasure of getting drinks at the bar with Al. He's probably one of the best restaurant bartenders I've encountered. Last time I was here, I lost my voice and I wasn't ready to give up alcohol, he made a whisky drink for me that included ginger, lemon, etc. It was so amazing. I got it again this time. Perfect again but it was better when I needed it. I also order some "crab cakes" and a glass of Malbec. The Malbec was perfect for tonight. Al and the female bartender were friendly and attentive. I would come back just to see them. 5 stars: The food is delicious. Our table of seven ordered lots of food to share. The "calamari" was less favorite. We all enjoyed the Kale Caesar, brussels sprouts, marsala, Scaloppini Parmesean, flat bread, and meatball pizza. Favors were just like their meat counterpart. A friend is vegan so he was afraid to eat the pizza and flat. The waitress assured him that nothing from Crossroads has animal products. He enjoyed and ate everything after then. 4 stars: We had a better waiter last time. Our waitress tonight started out great but I think she was too busy with the other tables. Or maybe she didn't like our table. I don't know, it felt different with her toward the end. It could possibily that we tired to get her to bring a birthday candle. 3 stars: Yes, we were super late for our reservation. Our reservation was at 5:45 PM. I did call 10 minutes before our reservation to let them know we're running 15 minutes late because of the rain. Two people (including me) got there at 6 PM, we went to see Al at the bar. The rest of our party (5 out of 7) got stuck in a parking garage getting out of a show and then rain. The hostess told us that they couldn't seat us anymore. My friend overhead her "bitching" about us in the front as he was coming back from the restroom. The rest of the party didn't get to the Crossroads until 45 minutes later. We asked the hostess if it possible to seat us at all. She said no. We also told our bartender what happened. We then tried to call other restaurants. After 10 mins, the hostess came back saying someone cancelled and can seat us. I wasn't upset on the situation but at her bitching with her coworker. But then again, it was our fault for being so late. I still love to bring more people and come back her. The food and the bar staff made up for the evening. Because of our tardiness, I can say we're even. :)

This place is amazing! Best vegan cuisine in Los Angeles by far! Great staff and it's absolutely beautiful!! you won't be disappointed with anything you try.

Great food with great ingredients! It makes you forget meat for at least one night! The pizza is a must as the "chicken" piccata. I also enjoyed the friendly service and the drinks: the Trilogy gave a double take.

Wow, I had no idea Vegan could be so good! Some friends invited us to experience this place, and we were excited to try it because they kept raving about how good it is. My partner and I arrived a bit early, so we headed over to the bar for a drink. My first impression of the restaurant was how beautiful the interior is. Not your typical vegan restaurant, this place feels more like an elegant fine-dining establishment. The bartender greeted us promptly, and when I asked about a couple of the red wines by the glass, he immediatly offered me some samples before I ordered a glass. My partner had lost his voice, so we asked the bartender if he knew of a good drink that would help. He knew exactly what do make, and came back with a mix of whiskey, tea, honey & lemon, which was perfect. When our friends arrived we were immediately seated. Our waiter came over right away, he was great. Very friendly. Since our friends had been here several times, we let them order. We started with the Kale Salad. It was delicious, with a light dressing. Very refreshing. Next was the Crab Cakes. OMG, I could not believe I was not eating crab! These were delicious. Next was the cheese plate. I could not believe that I was not eating real cheese! It even paired well with the Cabernet I was drinking. The next dish to come was the Fried Calamari, wich was actually rings of artichoke hearts. These were good, but I didn't get the sensation of calamari, just not the right texture. After that was Cheese Tortellini. I have no idea how they make a pasta shell that's vegan, but it was just perfect. And the cheese inside tasted like rich ricotta. We also had an order of the Brussel Sprouts, which were just OK. I've had better. Next we had a vegan Veal Scaloppine, which tasted great. I could not believe I was not eating meat! The sauce is incredible. Following that we had the Chicken Parmesan. I'm a huge fan of Chicken Parm, and that's the first thing I'll usually order when I try a new Italian restaurant. The Chicken Parm here is just OK. But I did really enjoy it because is was vegan. Overall, I really enjoyed Crossroads. The flavors were better than other vegan restaurants I've been to, and the prices were reasonable. The service is excellent, and the ambiance of the dining room is first-class.

This place is ludicrously expensive given the quality of food and portion size. The only reason to go here is if you have the unfortunate pleasure of dating a vegan.

I had very high expectations about this place, especially because of the high praises in VegNews. I came with an open mind and left disappointed. Everything is swimming in oil! Oil is all I can taste in these dishes (well, almost). The dishes are beautiful and the service is great, but the menu is small and not particularly appealing. It is also ridiculously expensive. The mushrooms were the best thing we tried, the pasta special was very ordinary, the artichoke leaves with mushroom were nice, but so small! The banana pepper looked gorgeous, but it was covered in oil - I only ate the stuffing. I am leaving hungry.....
