Its that time again! We have another  Cleanweb Meetup in London next Monday.  If you are in town please come along (and please let anybody know you think might be interested). This month, we're looking at how to make cities more sustainable..

Whilst working on a talk today I stumbled on the smart2020 report. It estimates ICT can potentially reduce carbon emissions by 15% by 2020. It also has some numbers on emissions from ICT.

This month, we're teaming up with the Internet of Things Meetup group, to run an IoT-themed meetup in the suitably futuristic green-themed offices of Arup in London. If you are London next week it would be cool to see you there and if you know anyone in your network who you think might be interested please let them know!

We have another Cleanweb Meetup in London next Monday.  If you are in town please come along (and please let anybody know you think might be interested). This month, we're looking at the devices we use to access the web, and we have speakers from both Fairphone and the Restart Project, telling us about making this part of the web more sustainable..

Hi folks,

We have another Cleanweb UK event next Monday in London. We're looking at where the world of finance and cleanweb intersect.

What happens to your pensions when their value is tied to companies who base their stock price on unburnable carbon? What kinds of environmental data is being used to change how people invest in companies? How is the web being used to speed up the rollout of renewables and help people save at the the same time?

If you are in town please come along. We hope to record the talks so hopefully they will be available online afterwards. Please spread the word to anybody you think would be interested and is in the vicinity!

Cheers,
Jason
