Experimenting with laser-cut folded polyhedra. Got a lot of utility from just two 2x4' sheets of plywood! Now we just need to assemble them all...

I just open-sourced all of the content for my recent "How to Build Almost Anything" #FabLab  course! Mostly just personal teaching guides and checklists made for my own benefit before class each week, but you never know who may find it useful!

Taught my "How to Build Almost Anything" #FabLab  students the basics of working with Arduino! Now it's time for them to work on final projects - let's see what they come up with!

Tonight my "How to Build Almost Anything" #FabLab  students learned basic electronics concepts - how electricity and circuits work, the differences between basic electronics components, how to read schematics and building circuits on breadboards. Very intense night, but they all left happy and excited to build their homework assignment - a flashing LED with a 555 timer! Looking forward to next week!

Melting face of an old man #CNC   #milled  into small block of basswood. The first end mill slipped and caused a huge gouge in the face, but I went ahead with the job anyway as a learning exercise. Lots of fuzziness, so there is still much to learn!

Finished #CNC   #milled  model of intersecting ripples simulation cut into a 10x10" block of foam. I goofed up the Z axis calibration when switching tools, but I'm still happy with the result!

Before leaving the local #FabLab  today I started the finishing pass of a model of intersecting waves on a 10x10" piece of insulation foam. #CNC   #milling  is such a powerful process, can't wait to do more!

3D #CNC   #milled  model of intersecting waves created in wood. This is actually a scrap cutoff of 2x4' stud, so it's probably made of pine. Loving this machine!
