Great article... this is certainly a topic that many organizations struggle with and I can certainly relate to the question around loyalty / tenure. Nonetheless I agree with the article's position on timing, I have yet to read or hear a fortune 500 leader say they wish they waited longer before upgrading staff. Rather, they couldn't move fast enough. More importantly, these concepts don't have to be applied at only the executive level. I think today's successful small to medium business are applying these concepts at every level of their organization from receptionist to the executive suite.
