What a mixture of nice surface looks and garbage. The room was nice except that I wouldn't sit on the loveseat without a blanket over it. The very nice sink in the nice bathroom had a large star-shaped crack in it. And after check-in we went to Kiki's (the hotel's on-site restaurant / bar) for a drink and possibly dinner. It looked like a nice place. A piece of advice...don't drink the draft beer, at least the Bud Light. I don't think that the tap had been cleaned since it's original installation. It was awful. We each had one sip, paid and left. We decided not to chance the food in a place that doesn't seem to do more than surface cleaning. After dinner and drinks out, back to the hotel and to bed. Woke up around 7 to what sounded like a bowling tournament on the floor above us. No going back to sleep with that noise. Got up and prepared to leave. The walk to the elevator hampered by 2 large housekeeping carts with no housekeepers in attendance. Don't waste your money.

Currently staying here for an event with the company I work for. Went to check in after setting up and the front desk would not let me check in without my boss. So I had to convince them to just speak to him over the phone. Left to go to the beach for a little while and then come back to NO parking in the parking garage that I had to pay for. I was told "its not the guys problem" (the guy who allows people in and out of the garage). I was almost forced to park into a spot where benches were making the spot impossible to fit in, then I was told I needed to park outside. I PAID $10 TO PARK IN THE GARAGE. The office handled it by telling me to park in handicap, and that they would talk to Leroy about his attitude. Seeing as I work in a hotel, this is unacceptable, you would think a hotel would know how to treat a paying guest. I definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Fort Lauderdale. The only good thing is that the room is clean.

I feel compelled to share this story of hotel injustice which in my 35 years I have never encountered. After booking 3 hotel rooms at the Crowne Plaza, Ft Lauderdale Airport/Cruise with a travel wholesaler for a family celebrating mom & dad’s 50th wedding anniversary, I realized some of the names got mixed up and called the hotel to advise. They understood and gave me the hotel confirmation numbers which I added to the prepaid voucher numbers. Unfortunately for the 2 families leaving from Phoenix AZ, their flights were cancelled due to severe weather conditions in Denver. They were rerouted on separate flights which ultimately caused serious delays arriving to the hotel the next day. [The one family from Chicago arrived check-in day.] After checking in with the prepaid voucher they were all advised to present credit cards for incidental purchases/charges. Subsequently they were all charged again for the rooms. Two were corrected, but the third never was. I am sharing the conversations I emailed to Mariano, [I was told he was the front desk manager] After receiving continuous “There is nothing we can do – no refund” – My clients added their comments. Carrie, we are losing patience with the "run around" the Crown Plaza is giving us regarding our son-law's refund that we had originally prepaid. Our horrendous flying experience resulted in two of the rooms, Mr. Tompkins room being one of them, only being used for a few hours before check out. Contrary to what the hotel is saying our party of three rooms did not include an adjoining room. NO fourth room was involved! The third voucher was verified and we expect reimbursement for the $150.00 overcharge. We prepaid three reservations in good faith and find the lack of cooperation by a reputable customer orientated establishment not only absurd but inexcusable. [This from “Mom & Dad” who paid for the 3 rooms] We had confirmed reservations at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for Dec 27, checking out on Dec 28th. We also had a pre-paid voucher to cover the cost of the room. Our flight was delayed, so I called the hotel ahead of time to let them know we would be arriving very late, well into the early morning hours. I was told that would not be a problem. By 6 am Dec 28, we finally arrived at Crowne Plaza and were told by the desk attendant that he had just checked us out. He was able to check us back in and I gave him the voucher. He entered the voucher number into the computer, but said the voucher number was invalid and gave the voucher back to me. He required a credit card before he would give me the room key. He handed me a pre-receipt of sorts, asking me to verify the information, but he had my name in the system as Kenneth Treleven rather than Kenneth Tompkins. Thinking voucher number was just a name mix up with the Trelevens, I assumed it would get straighten out later. Our travel agent has been working with you for several weeks. My voucher has been sent to you and you have verified my stay along with the room charge to my credit card. I am completely amazed that this has not been straightened out by now and that Crowne Plaza has demonstrated an unwillingness to reimburse the cost of our room that was charged to my credit card. Please expedite payment to my credit card! Mariano kept saying they had four rooms and would not accept my client’s explaination. His response “Even if the room was not occupied , The No Show charges applied.” Apparently the hotel does not care that the families experienced horrendous travel difficulties or that mistakes do happen and even though it was clarified ahead of time and followed up with thorough details – Shame on them – We definitely will not recommend this property in the future.

Reasonable rate, large updated rooms, good location. Also love the free Wi-Fi and pool. Nothing fancy but comfortable and reasonable.

Comfortable bed and nice shower. Bathroom exceptionally small. When door to a nearby room closes, it shakes the whole room. No free breakfast and available breakfast is very expensive. Got some fruit with an English muffin, coffee and orange juice for $22.00. Overall, definitely centered around corporate stays with company credit cards. If you aren't paying, could be nice.

The hotel was great and the price was just right when booked through Priceline express deals. The only thing that annoyed me was the fact that I had to pay for overnight parking. You would think this would already be factored into the price of the room setting that I'm already paying to stay there. Other than that the rooms were neat and clean.

The rooms are great and the staff is friendly. There are plenty of good places to eat around the hotel if you get tired of the food in the on-site restaurant. Very close to the airport and the cruise port.
