Spent the most wonderful, relaxing two days and nights with John and Steffie. The room and house were charming , and comfortable in everyway. John and Steffie are great for conversation and sharing stories. Have to give a great shout out for the blueberry pancakes (yummy yum !). Will definately be back for weekend retreats.. 5 stars and hearts to Desert Trails and John and Steffie,, thank you so much. Suzan and Michael 29-31 Aug 2013

Had a wonderful overnight stay at the Desert Trails and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, comfortable, homey place with interesting owners who are good cooks adjacent to the beautiful Saguaro National Park. We stayed in the Happy Valley room, which was small, but thoughtfully decorated and had a very comfortable and warm bed. You can literally walk across the street and do interpretive trails in the national park, which has the greatest diversity of desert plant and wildlife I've ever seen. Breakfast was excellent--huevos rancheros with plantains and fresh cantaloupe. The owners both have PhDs and lots of stories to tell about living around the world, as well as the Tucson region.

Don't stay anywhere else in Tucson. Any stay at a B&B should be quiet, comfortable, with a great breakfast. John and Stephanie get great scores on all three of these. My wife and I spent three nights there and enjoyed our stay very much. We slept better than we do at home. Highly recommend the Desert Trails B&B!
