The first time I went there was with my older cousins and my nan. At first glance of the menu, I knew it was going to be a tough choice as all of the meals sounded so appetising. I eventually settled on the Avocado on Toast, along with one of my cousins. Being on the 'Brunch Menu' it's only available until 2pm. After a wait of about 10 minutes, our food came out and it looked so much better than I had imagined. Upon first bite, the individual elements of the dish exploded in my mouth and I realised what I'd been missing my whole life. It was one of the greatest meals I've ever had. Definitely recommend to anyone after a good meal that will make your day so much better.

Great coffee and great food. Been coming here for years and its the best place for coffee in Adelaide. The staff are all very friendly and more than happy to explain to you the finer points of brewing tea and coffee. I cannot recommend Bar 9 enough.

I've known the owner for a long time and his passion for coffee is bordering on a bit insane (sorry Ian). That said, he knows it better than anyone around and as a result the coffee and imported tea selection at Bar 9 is beyond comparison. If you go here for breakfast you'll find it very difficult to enjoy breakfast anywhere else ever again. Sure, they do eggs on toast but never how you know it. Adelaide loves its big breakfasts and Bar 9 is the best I've had by a long way. The only downside is that it's massively popular so you can wait for a seat on weekend. Better to go there around 11:30am when there seems to be a bit of a gap. Don't worry, they bring coffees out to the waiting seats!

"Bar 9 Nine Specialty Boutique Coffee Cafe" Just returned from London reviewing their best Coffee Cafe scene, the Australians & New Zealanders have stamped their mark in London. On our return we visited, the Bar 9 Cafe Glen Osmond Rd, which is up for the best in Australia. On Monday midday the cafe is humming, obviously local customers appreciate, the coffee and wholesome food, the ample and varied table space and the comfortable leather corner settees. Wall art, old coffee making paraphernalia, antique natural wooden floors and various old style dining chairs and stools, old crates and large barrels contribute to the aged, careworn decor style creating a comfortable easy ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed a home made style pumpkin soup with toast, and their award winning coffee. The service was friendly and professional, thus ticking all the boxes, making for very relaxing dining experience.

I had one of the best breakfasts I've ever had here. The toasted muffins, lying in a bed of seasonal berries and lemon curd, were topped with an exquisitely fragrant vanilla bean mascarpone cream. The truffled mushroom ragout, on toast with poached eggs, had that unmistakable earthiness. And the dishes looked great to boot – food porn, no less – and to top it off, this place sure knows how to make coffee.

Sadly disappointing on the 24th December. Probably too rush and killed the coffee.

Great coffee and passionate, friendly baristas - the only downfall is I love it so much that their cups aren't large enough for me! Decent food, but not a lot of vegan-friendly fare.
