The staff were wonderful; everyone was pleasant, courteous and helpful. The rooms, however, I found to be more designed around form over function. We had booked a king room, and though we confirmed a late arrival, were given a two double-bed suite in an 'upgrade' because our room type was not available at check in. The suite included a second room with bunk beds and Xbox which I'm sure a family would have loved, but for one married couple, the king bed was sorely missed and not much gained from this 'upgrade'. The lighting in the room was poor unless all thirty or so switches were flipped on, and the open shower looked nice but didn't make up for poor water pressure. Overall, a lower tier property would have suited our needs better for less.

I've been staying at the Monaco hotel for several years now, every time I'm in Baltimore for work. Rooms are nice, staff is friendly and always great service. Happy hour complimentary Wine every day from 5pm to 6pm, can't beat it. Would recommend this place to all my family and friends.

We loved the Hotel Monaco! It was in an excellent location, very close to the Inner Harbor and the Mount Vernon area. The room was spacious and had high quality finishes. The bathroom was large, with bright lighting (w dimmer switches) and marble tiles all over. The bed was comfortable, although we expected sheets to be a little softer or thicker. We just turned up the thermostat. The lobby and public spaces are sights to see. Make sure to walk the large marble staircases. The building was a historic old building as a former headquarters of the B&O railroad company. They have a lot of information in the lobby about the history. We've eaten at the restaurant, the B&O American Brasserie, and it's a treat. Comfortable food with a high end flair. I recommend it all very much.

It was of the best experience I've ever had. The hotel was gorgeous. The staff was fantastic. They brought me a fish. The tub was huge and the bed was so comfortable.

Amazing service and facilities. We had a room with a soaking tub, and it was a fantastic experience. Free wine social in the evening and excellent food and drink. Very friendly and prompt service. Be sure to sign up for the Kimpton rewards for more benefits, like free Internet!

My husband and I love this hotel. We make it a point to stay here at least once a year and are never disappointed. I always feel pampered when I come here and never have to worry about a thing. The restaurant downstairs is also excellent. We have always liked everything we have eaten there for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Good location just a few blocks from the inner harbor and with underground parking a block away. Building is full of character and had a nice lobby. Complimentary coffee and tea in the morning was a nice touch. Bed was comfortable. Only weakness was the water pressure in the shower and lack of ventilation fan in the bathroom.

Hotel Monaco -The Charm'tastic Mile is a great boutique hotel within 2 blocks of the Inner Harbor. The B & O Restaurant is top notch. Some of the best cocktails around a 5 star stay.
