Allergies, even slightly, to cats, dogs, any animal? STAY AWAY! This place is covered in dog dander, which is really hard to clean up, much less to every room with animals in it all year long. The Monaco lets in dogs, cats -- I suddenly had two very large dogs start making their way into the elevator I was on, had to jump out. If you like finding dog hair in your room, this is the place!

nice lobby and nice rooms but the room didn't have bathroom necessities and they couldn't provide them because "they were fully booked"

Extremely disappointing hotel for FOUR STARS! They claim to be a 'pet friendly' hotel but wouldn't send a bowl up for water? Housekeeping didn't clean the room or change the sheets (not that they were actual sheets but a comforter with two top sheets) and room service past 10pm was horrendous and unhelpful! The only redeemable quality of this hotel was the Jacuzzi tub-- which was amazing and really fun.

This is our go-to hotel whenever we are in Baltimore. I may be a touch more expensive than others in the area, but I have stayed at several others and none of the come close to this one in service or decor. I have never had a problem with the room or the service. I love the historical building it was built in. It provides easy access to all of downtown and is near a lot of good restaurants. Probably the best hotel I have stayed in anywhere.

Great hotel for a quick get away to Baltimore. The room and service was exceptional, and the location is great. Not to mention the free wine in the lobby at 5 PM.

Kimpton Hotels are some of my favorite hotels and their Baltimore offering totally lived up to my expectations. They're super pet friendly and that's a huge factor when I'm looking for a hotel. On arrival they had a beautiful wine and snack tasting in their lobby that was totally welcome after a long drive. The room was awesome with a killer view and all of the amenities I expect from a five star hotel and the architecture was just beautiful. Definitely worth a look if you're in the area.

We like to travel with our dog and try to stay at Kimpton properties when possible as they allow pets of any size at no additional charge. As she's done before, our dog scored us an upgrade to a suite upon check-in. They even had a dog bed waiting for her in the room! We enjoyed the nightly social they held in the lobby. This hotel has gorgeous architecture and the rooms are very nice. The staff was phenomenal, especially the guys outside handling valet/bell services. This is definitely the place we will stay any time we visit Baltimore!

A Kimpton hotel, the Hotel Monaco is comfortable, modern, and nicely appointed. Rooms are a decent size and contain basic amenities, though I do wish they'd offer charging stations for electronics at the desks provided. Staff is solicitous and friendly. Common areas are bright and cheerful and in line with the Kimpton brand. Not a bad place to stay if you need to be near Inner Harbor and/or the Hippodrome.
