Dear Music Academy South Families and Friends,

We wanted to make sure that you have heard about the two special music programs that will begin in September at Music Academy South.  Both will augment your child's individual study of their instrument and/or voice.
1. GLEE:  It is a small ensemble (a group of 5-16 students) in which young singers, ages 11-17, can work on individual and group performance skills, as well as form relationships and memories to last a lifetime! Directed by Lindsay Byers, an experienced choral director with a master's degree in music education, Glee performs 4-5 pieces of music in at least two harmony parts every semester. Multiple performance opportunities including formal and informal recitals, adjudicated performances, as well as performances in our community will allow students to grow vocally and musically, as well as boost confidence.
GLEE details:
• Auditions: Saturday August 29th, 10- 12 by appointment.
(Interested singers of all experience levels should call Debra at 919-556-6151 to schedule an audition on Saturday, August 29th. Other times are available by appointment. Please prepare to sing 16 bars of one song for an audition, or come prepared to learn an excerpt with Ms. Byers.
