I feel compelled to share this given that I am an avid fan of Discogs, as well as someone who spent a few years heavily rotating Tri Repetae back in the day. Really cool concept and execution.

Good interview with Quilliam's Maajid Nawaz. Fleshes out the mindset and process of radicalization pretty well.

Finally reading The Corner. Really well articulated, insightful and sad.

This was a really deep and respectful discussion. A good example of how dialogue should be conducted around contentious issues.

Currently reading a book titled "The Intellectual Origins Of Egyptian Nationalism."

This book was published in 1960, and discusses intellectual contributions made by the likes of Rifaa Al Tahtawi, Mohammad Abdou, and Qasim Amin in the early 1900s.

That is a century and some change, and we're still somehow debating some of those things. Now that's a bummer.

According to the booklet included in this awesome compilation (totally worth it if into soul/funk) Sly Stone apparently wanted to produce a bunch of people, including Dylan.

Now that would have been an interesting artifact: A 73 Dylan album produced by Sly Stone.

Had not realized Massi had done a Tiny Desk session about in 2012. Was nice to see she's still awesome!
