Top 5 meal of a lifetime!! Chef Anderson prepared a pan seared chicken with quinoa mushroom "risotto" and roasted brussel sprouts. You MUST eat here.

The food was delicious. Best poke roll I've ever had!! Service was mediocre at best, prices were reasonable.

What a great place to have lunch. Great view of the bay and sheltered by the trees. Service was great, food was excellent. Highly recommended if you're looking for something other than a chain place.

Service mediocre, don't get the onion rings cooked like a diner in pinko brittle and no taste, should be a light coating like tempura far too many for an app. Scallops app ok, small in size and quantity for the price. The nights special was Ono, very small and over cooked. No value for money at this restaurant. You pay for the updated ambiance and view, if you can get it. Server was uncreative and unreactive. Do not recommend.

We've lived in Hawaii for over a decade and Hilo Bay Café is easily in our top three sushi restaurants in the state. The fish was perfectly fresh. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is modern. And the price was pleasantly reasonable.

Great view. Great Service. Fish tacos and fish sandwich were fresh and delicious. Friendly atmosphere. Wish I could come back for dinner but must get back to ship. Chocolate lava cake with kona coffee ice cream.....mmmmmm ...

Great ambiance, my partner and I got our choice of view/seat that we asked for in the online reservation comments. Definitely would recommend to family and friends. But I only gave it a 4/5 because my boyfriend choked on a spicy popcorn as the waitress was delivering out starter plate. It was too spicy for him and we weren't warned it had spices on it. Other than that the food was magnificent and so was the view watching the sunset behind the clouds.

Fantastic experience. The fish and chips are amazing! Good beer selection; great service; modern, stylish, and clean; prices are fair; great view of downtown Hilo waterfront.
