is an online, step by step tutorial to help owners of local cleaning businesses to promote on Google Plus ( or G+ ) more effectively and which will help all of us to be more efficient as a group and therefor increase our G+ authorities and influence.
Hello to everybody in the #cleaningservices
First of all, I would like to tell you what SEO stands for. It is Search Engine Optimization. Which means that you do a set of actions in order to optimize your website to rank higher in +Google
e search results for a certain "keyphrase".
I take into consideration that 95% ( to say the least ) from the #cleaningcompanies
who are using Google Plus are doing it to promote in one way or another their - most of the time - Local Cleaning Business ( it can be #janitorial
First of all, I will not get deeper into this subject but in order to perform well first of all you need to have a good website and On-Page SEO. I will just drop a link for reference and you have +Ken Douglas
s here who can answer more questions if you have any.

Now let's get back to :
1. What is the best way to use Google Plus platform to increase my local #cleaning
First of all you need to know that you should operate on Google Plus with 2 separate profiles.
1. You personal G+ profile ( example +John Harris
2. Your BUSINESS G+ profile ( example +Swiss Cleaning Services
Since the first one if very simple to understand, creating a G+ BUSINESS profile can be tricky if you're new to it.
For a local cleaning business it is VITAL that the G+ BUSINESS page is CONNECTED to your Google Places Listing. To put it otherwise you should make sure that the page you're trying to promote ( the G+ one ) has the attribute of a Local Business.
If you are using a G+ page which was created as a Product / Service or brand, it is quite useless in your SEO efforts, and I will explain that in a later post.
HOW to check if my Google Places listing is connected with my G+ BUSINESS page ? This one is quite easy. Make on google.com
a search for your Brand Name and include your location after it. ( EG : "swiss cleaning services Los Angeles" ). Second identify your listing ( it should be the first one in most cases ) and in the box on the right ( your google places listing ) you should have a link to your G+ page ( the one which you are trying to promote, of course. )
I think it's enough for now. Waiting for your comments and questions and I'll come back very soon with part 2 of #seoforcleaning
