RUDE MANAGER !!!!!!! Food is great, the workers are awesome but the manager is rude. I was engaging in friendly banter, with another patron about baseball, when the blond female manager became offended. Apparently she is a Giants fan. So to smooth things over, I asked her if she was from the Bay Area. She said yes. I have family in that area, so I asked her where in the bay area she was from. She told me that "I can leave" and ignored my question. Very rude. I could see her being rude if I was disrespectful or creepy. But I'm a friendly guy and I like to talk to people. Not every man in Chicago has bad intentions. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN !!!!!! I DONT FEEL WELCOME !!!!!

What a terrible night. I usually enjoy Cheesie's well enough but tonight, they were so rude that I doubt I'll return. My friend wanted to buy her and myself shots because the line for food was moving so ridiculously slow. They said OK to my ID but then they nearly broke hers in half! I know she looks young but she's 24 years old and they passed her valid ID around three times, trying to break it in half, before deciding to let it get the all clear. And EVEN STILL, the bouncer came over and tried to defend himself. I said, "What do you want me to say?!" Because I don't make the driver's licenses, ok, I don't work at the DMV. All I know is you nearly snapped my friend's valid ID in half because you couldn't be bothered to know how a watermark works. And finally, we had our shots but the line didn't even move! Even after all this time. And it was wrapping around the entire store at this point. No one behind the register. Ridiculous. Absolutely unacceptable and rude. Three people bitching about a VALID LEGAL DOCUMENT but No One behind the register. Unbelievable. We ended up just having to leave because no one was being served and the staff were rude and self-concerned. I am disappointed to say I will not return.

Food was excellent, had the Mac. Service was very good at the bar, my server Chris was very accommodating, and my food came very quickly. The beer options weren't bad either. As an out of towner just here to check the city out I was very pleased and will gladly come back during my trip.

4 stars for great grilled cheese. Minus 1 for getting rid of their pizzas. Plus one for their sunday deal and plus one for their fun atmosphere and staying open late and delivering. I'm not good at the math but that works out to be 5 stars. A Chicago icon that I have been over enjoying since they opened.

Thanks Nick! Glad you have enjoying everything we have to offer... Minus the pizza of course! But on a side note the future of our pizza is still TBD so you just may not have seen the last of it yet! ;) Thanks for your loyalty! Next time you are in ask for Sarah Jean and she will hook you up with one of our V.I.Cheese slap bracelets that will get you 10% off your bill every time you wear it at any location.

I was grunk and hungry last night, so I got a "buritto" sandwich. I kind a realised it, but confirmed this morning when i finished it. I saw that it's Texas toast wrapped in a tortia. There is some meat and halapenios or whatever the board says are ingredients, but seriously the main sandwich filling is toast and tortia, hardly anything else. I might have picked the worst choice of the menu, and I give you one star untill i drunkenly stumble in there again.

I am sad that i cannot come here as often as I want. They need a 'burbs location! The Tenderizer is the best grilled cheese ice ever had. And great beer selection!! This place is a must-go when visiting Chicago. The atmosphere is wonderful too. You can write on the tables with chalk they provide.

This is a great place for food late at night. I had the Tradition. A perfect balance of cheese, chorizo, and spicey peppers. I will say it gets very loud but it's too be expected from a place that big and late at night.

I've been to Cheesie's a few times growing up in Chicago, always liked it. One night my college friends and I decided to go to Cheesie's and I was super excited. Literally said "Hell yeah" and we hopped on the train. When I got there I was immediately carded as soon as I walked in the door, even though I mentioned that I would not be purchasing any alcoholic beverages. Why did he have to see my ID, I don't know. When I went to order my food, the person who took my order seemed in a rush and pretty passive, which I totally get. It was a Friday night and it was busy. So, I ordered my food, went to the table where my friends were sitting and waited. My friends' orders came out pretty fast, so I was hopeful and thought my food was coming out soon after. Boy, was I wrong! Another party of maybe 8 got their food before me and I knew they had ordered after me. I let it slide though. Then another party got their food before me and I was extremely annoyed. I went to the cashier asked him about my food and he said it was coming. Yeah, I knew it was "coming" but it took forever and a half to "come" to my table. When I asked for a refund, the youngin working the register was confused and said they were going to give me "extra food" with the order. Ok, sure... Thanks... So, I waited 45 minutes plus another 15-20 for the "extra food" that I didn't even want but my friends enjoyed. I mean how long does it take to make a grilled cheese for gods sake... The sandwich was mediocre and the fries were kind of cold. I don't get how they were cold though since I practically grew all my leg hair back waiting for my food. The service on a Friday night is questionable... However, I won't let this nightmare of an experience ruin future appearances there. Moral of the story to the employees: Don't forget about your HUNGRY customers. :-(

Cheesie's hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
