I never realized you could take color directly off the gelato like that--huh! I really should play with my gelatos more, but I always seem to have trouble of one sort or another. You've inspired me to try this. Tfs!

Thanks so much for this comparison, Catherine! I just ordered the 36 set (got a great deal on it), and can't wait to get them! Your test samples all looked pretty much the same to me, but it's always hard to tell on a computer/video. But I will certainly keep your results in mind when I start playing!

Love the background you created, Tracy! I was a bit skeptical about using Shaded Lilac & Squeezed Lemonade together, since they are complementary colors and can create mud. But you made it work! Great coloring on the elephant & balloon as well. Tfs!

Thinking of You
The deadline for Ellen Hutson's June "Pin-spired" challenge is tonight. I was inspired for this card by the colors in the mood board. I die cut several flowers & leaves from 140 lb. watercolor paper using all 4 dies in the "Bold Blossoms" stand-alone die se...

Birthday Wishes!
Whenever I've sent cards to Operation Write Home , I've always sent them in United States Postal Service Flat Rate envelopes. I've never once had enough at one time to send in a Flat Rate box. Since they will no longer be taking cards after August 1, 2015, ...

Thanks so much for the tip about not scratching the foil. I just tried foiling for the first time the other day with my laminator. It was a bit of an ordeal to get it to come out right (and yes, I scratched it a bit at first), but I finally got some pretty good results! Love your card, and that mint frame really does better with that patterned paper. Tfs!

Thank You
One of the technique lessons in this year's Camp Scrap is on Glossy Gel Resist. I created this card, to send a thank you note to our overseas military, utilizing that technique. I first cut a piece of striped patterned paper from the "Red White & Blue" 6x6"...

Thanks for sharing this technique! Also, I'm glad you mentioned this would work with other markers or even colored pencils. I can't afford Copics, but have plenty of colored pencils! I've pinned this to my ever-growing list of "to try" techniques.

I called a few other tree services before finding Arbor Tex. I guess business for most of the others must be pretty good, because only one called back, and that one unfortunately did not service our town. I finally found Arbor Tex, called, and the guy called back the next day. (They'd been on a job in an area with poor cell service, hence the delay in returning my call.) They came out, gave an estimate that we agreed upon, and said they could do the job a couple of days later when they would be in the area again. They took down one tree that had fallen, and trimmed large overhanging limbs on a couple more. It took the crew way less time than I'd expected. They removed everything they cut down, & even hauled off another piece of a limb that had fallen previously. Overall, I was very satisfied, and would highly recommend them!
