Happy Birthday, Sandy! Love this video, and thank you SO MUCH for telling about the "Tack 'n Peel"!!! I have some alpha stamps that have been giving me grief, and have been unable to find better replacements that are still the size letters I need. I think that stuff may save the day. Hope you're having an awesome birthday!

Mom, You're the Best!
The deadline for Mother's Day cards to be at Operation Write Home is March 31. I did make a few of those for them, but also put in a couple of general "mom" cards, including this one, since these have a longer shelf life. I began by choosing the "Stitched F...

Great card, Laura! Love the colors you chose. When I was little, I also couldn't say "Grandmom," so I called my grandmother "Grabber"! Later my brother & I just called her "Mom," because that's what our parents called her. I think she was the only one who objected, but we did it anyway. (Btw, our mother was "Mama.") Anyway, thanks so much for sharing, & making my mom and me giggle!

Love the bright bold colors! I've done the iron-off embossing technique a few times, but never seem to get ALL the embossing off. There's always just a hint of shine. Maybe I'll have to try with something heavier than copy paper. Thanks so much for sharing this, Sandy--great job!

I called a few other tree services before finding Arbor Tex. I guess business for most of the others must be pretty good, because only one called back, and that one unfortunately did not service our town. I finally found Arbor Tex, called, and the guy called back the next day. (They'd been on a job in an area with poor cell service, hence the delay in returning my call.) They came out, gave an estimate that we agreed upon, and said they could do the job a couple of days later when they would be in the area again. They took down one tree that had fallen, and trimmed large overhanging limbs on a couple more. It took the crew way less time than I'd expected. They removed everything they cut down, & even hauled off another piece of a limb that had fallen previously. Overall, I was very satisfied, and would highly recommend them!
