According to +TransUnion’s Q3 2015 MarketTrends report, delinquencies are on the way down, and auto loans continue to be a bright spot in terms of consumer debt levels.

“The auto sector continues to thrive, thanks in part to lower oil prices, so balance increases are expected in this industry,” said Jason Wang, TransUnion’s director of research and industry analysis in Canada.

+General Motors plans to build a fleet of self-driving Chevy Volts at its Canadian Engineering Centre (+General Motors Centre) in Oshawa, Ontario.

In the statement from GM, the company said that the Conference Board of Canada has suggested that autonomous cars could save Canadians $65 billion per year by reducing congestion, consuming less fuel and producing fewer collisions and fatalities.
