I was going to try to run again after battling bursitis in my right leg. Maybe another day of not running would be best. Injuries have been very frustrating to me since December.

Acquainted with the Night
BY ROBERT FROST
I have been one acquainted with the night.
I have walked out in rain—and back in rain.
I have outwalked the furthest city light.

I have looked down the saddest city lane.
I have passed by the watchman on his beat
And dropped my eyes, unwilling to explain.

I have stood still and stopped the sound of feet
When far away an interrupted cry
Came over houses from another street,

But not to call me back or say good-bye;
And further still at an unearthly height,
One luminary clock against the sky

Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.

As with the other comments, congratulations, now don't stop! Looking back at my own history, I've always ended up with big gaps in training after half marathons (and other races). Like you, I didn't have a goal afterwards in most cases. This year, I've been setting goals to run x times per week, achieve y miles per week, and so on. My graph of monthly mileage has been steadily going upwards and I've lost 7kg. I don't think it's a coincidence!

Did a 10 mile run this morning. Although it wasn't fast, I was happy with it. Broke in a new pair of shoes.

After battling a leg injury in late December I have finally been able to get back to running with almost no pain. I've been able to run 10-12 miles the last couple of weeks. It doesn't sound like much but I could barely walk for almost 3 months.

Ran 3.5 miles this morning and it felt terrific. It's good to be out there and back here. This is a great group of people.

Nice! Getting back in the game after injury as well. Adding one mile every week. 4 miles is feeling good so far. Runners high feels even better.

Need a little direction please. I dropped my new 5S and broke the screen. Does anyone know of any repair facilities that can repair?

Thank you for your help.

+Bob Johnson, that's some bad luck there. Telling the wife for sure. It's a small investment for what could happen.

Set a PR for a 5 mile run this morning 47:38 averaged 9:31. Not bad for an old guy who started running in earnest in February.
