Love it. Would like to see a symbols button - often struggle to get it to recognise currency / quotation marks.

Hadn't thought about this side of 3d printing. Will be interesting to see how we try and have gun control laws when the barrier to getting a gun becomes downloading the relevant designs...
Popular Science's John Robb reports on a person who claims that his 3D-printed pistol can successfully fire live ammunition, though not with total reliability. The same person then went on to print a working AR-15 rifle (this is a substantial advance on last year's account of a 3D printable AR-15 automatic conversion kit. This event has raised something of a crisis for Thingiverse, the online repository for 3D printable meshes, which is contempla...

Good point. Always seemed to me that it takes lots of work to make crime pay...

Going to have to try this...
It seems that Burger King must have taken a very long position on pork futures, because they've rolled out a temporary Memphis Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich, Carolina BBQ Whopper, Texas BBQ Whopper and a bacon sundae: The AP reports that BK will launch the treat — which has fudge, caramel, crumbled bacon and a full piece of bacon — later this week, along with other limited time items. It has 510 calories, 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar, but w...

Nice idea
There's a new petition drive on the White House website, inspired by the New York Times story about a so-called "kill list" the President uses to decide which war on terror enemy should be taken out by drones or air strikes: The Do Not Kill List. If it reaches 25,000 signatures, the White House must respond. (via WSJ)

Fair point. I seem to remember seeing something saying that Sarbanes Oxley put criminal responsibility into the CFO's hands if there are insufficient internal controls to prevent corruption?
Joseph Stiglitz -- former World Bank economist and Nobel economics laureate -- has a suggestion for dealing with the Barclay's bank scandals and those that follow: put bankers in jail.

Strong comment from a blog, but I see larger companies struggling!

DNT hasn't been specifically written in yet but suspect ICO will take a dim view of anyone actively ignoring a user's preference.
We've happily accepted implied consent to deliver advertising, to deny implied consent would be slightly churlish.
On the other hand, a cynic might view this as a specific move from Microsoft to destroy a certain rival's business...

Like the cunningness here!
Sergei Skorobogatov, a postdoc in the Security Group at the Computer Laboratory of the University of Cambridge has written up claims that reprogammable microchips from China contained secret back-doors that can be used to covertly insert code: Claims were made by the intelligence agencies around the world, from MI5, NSA and IARPA, that silicon chips could be infected. We developed breakthrough silicon chip scanning technology to investigate thes...

Great food, good quiz. They do a good deal on taste cards that makes the food half price on non peak times. Definitely worth a visit!

Very easy to get to, but a bit close to the station. You can actually hear the rail station from the rooms. This is not a good thing! Rooms themselves are good size, clean and decent bathrooms with free wifi.

Excellent food, good prices. Only issue is that it's quite dark inside. Not ideal in the summer
