New web site is up. It's nothing stunning looking but functionality is there. Of course source code is open source, and you can see it here: https://github.com/MeanEYE/Sunflower-Site
Features. Customizable. Feature-packed configuration to help make the program your own. Tabbed interface. More flexibility in your daily operations through easy to use interface. Sessions. Set of tabs for every occasion. Emblems. Visually mark your files and directories for quick referrence.

Yes, that's what it is. Although many people asked for icon view, so I think I will be implementing that sometime soon.

I've set up a Wiki for Sunflower. It's empty at this point but soon we'll start working on it. It is configured in a way where you can contribute without registering an account.
From Sunflower. Jump to: navigation, search. MediaWiki has been successfully installed. Consult the User's Guide for information on using the wiki software. Getting started[edit]. Configuration settings list · MediaWiki FAQ · MediaWiki release mailing list · Localise MediaWiki for your language ...

New version (0.1a-58) is out. Few handy new features like better directory monitoring, toolbar styles. Also quite a few bug fixes. Feel free to update. :)

Ah, sorry for the late reply. I didn't see anyone posted here. Thumbnails are part of python-gnome2 package. You need to have that installed and it will work.

Sorry for not making it more clear.

I've just released new version of +Sunflower. Change log is a bit short this time. I'll try to get back to old schedule. Test and let me know if there's something I've missed.

For our German-speaking audience: Sunflower review and installation guide on +Linux und Ich. Thank you Christoph!

Viele Linux-Umsteiger suchen eine Alternative für ihren lieb gewonnenen Total Commander. Diesen gibt es nicht für Linux, mit dem Sunflower-Dateimanager aber guten Ersatz.

It's been a while since I updated this page. Perhaps I should be more active.

Time for some public relations. Development and our IRC channel got a little bit more quiet lately. First, let me tell you that project is fine. Am not going to abandon it or stop developing.

Lately I've been given an opportunity to make a big leap in my career. Opportunity which only a mad man would skip. Am a part of a start up company doing some really interesting web stuff. That means am back in Israel and now since dust is settling down, I'll be able to continue working on my pet project.

Back in the Sunflower world, expandable directories are happening. Developing this feature I've found and fixed some bugs that would otherwise go unnoticed. Always a good thing if you ask me. We are also trying out few new methods of loading directory content in attempt of avoiding long loading times on slower machines. Turns out it was GTK's fault after all.

Yesterday, I've read the news of Google killing downloads section on Google Code. Another issue I will have to deal with in next few months. This means we'll either have to create a dedicated web site for Sunflower, or to find a different hosting service. Not a particularly big issue or hard to solve, but requires time and work none the less.

Once again, thanks for your patience. :) I know it can take a while for me to implement features or fix bugs but I will eventually do what I planned. :D

All the best folks!

Wait no more. Just pushed new version out (0.1a-55). This time, only a few new features but quite a bit bug fixes. Some racing conditions are fixed, as well as application startup troubles.

Let me know if there are some issues! ;)

New release is out (0.1a-54). Am particularly happy about this one as I've finally solved the mystery behind poor support for file/directory names with bad encoding. Fixing this issue might have positive impact on performance and memory usage but in what measure it remains yet to be seen.

From new features you finally get ability to load plugins from your home directory. Also, added support for SFTP mounts.

Am happy to say that issues with launching default applications associated with files should be working without any issues.

Enjoy! And let me know if there are issues!
