So I just finished a comparison of SEMrush and Long Tail Pro, it is a pretty extensive review of each tool and my thoughts on what each tool does best at the end.

I score each tool based on a number of criteria in no particular order:

Ease of use
Interesting Features
Keyword value metrics
Test Run Results

Each tool will be given a final score out of five John Muellers(The head honcho and key contact at Google for SEO) which you’ll see on the red ribbons. With each tool I run a small test of choice keywords while recording how long it takes to gather them, how many keywords were gathered and the general experience. The final score will be the sum of the mean(Add up the scores and divide by number of scores).
I look at each tool from the perspective of a blogger, a small business, an SEO agency and lastly the lone CEO who likes to tinker and do a little research for themselves.

These two tools are pretty much the best around right now and it was very hard to separate them. What do you think Google+?

A kink in Google's armour? Or i'm just showing my noob side.
I noticed it while I was writing an analysis on how is ranking #1 in the UK for "Engagement rings".
They have a site which was 301ed to in 2012, but in Jan 2013 they changed it form a 301 to a text link with "We have moved" which you can still see now.
Upon Googling "" I noticed that the sitelinks are all still intact. This means that one result is pointing to two different sites.
My guess is a WMT address change, but then the webmaster removed the 301. But surely this would have been noticed before by the wider SEO community if it has always been possible by simply removing the 301.
I'm wondering how exactly this combines with Google's algo and what affect it might have.
When beginning the process for a change of address in WMT there is the message
"Confirm that 301-redirects work properly URLs from your old site should be redirected to your new site using permanent 301-redirect directives."
So Google must be presuming that the 301 is in place.
What do you guys think?
