In case anyone missed recent stories/info/posts (as I did)
When I’m head-down in a ‘long hours’ contract I tend to miss quite a bit of Delphi-oriented news. Once in a while I look up and I find a whole host of interesting posts around the blog-world and this has been the case over th...

For those who may have some interest in these matters.
It’s been a while now since I posted up the link to my Delphi service example on Google Play. I mentioned at the time that it was not a trivial exercise and was somewhat imperfect in implementation (although I’d done my best ...

Who likes last century's products?

One thing I liked about last century's products, of all types, was better quality/durability.  Today, everything has built-in obsolesce - No more 20 year toasters or 150 year homes.  And so many things are sealed and non-fixable - Just throw it away and buy a new one.

Help! Need input!  -

Question for you fine Delphi developers.
Anyone know of a tool that will scour a codebase of a project and seek out dead code that isn't called, or indeed can't be called?
Recommendations and any details appreciated.

+Brian Long Absolutely correct, I also want "clean" code and units, unneeded code "distracts" and makes you scrolling unnecessarely, even in my own code, not only in "heritage" code

Android resources for Object Pascal developers
For those Pascal programmers looking at building Android applications, be it with Delphi XE5 or with Oxygene for Java (I work with both!), here are a few Android-related resources that may come in useful: Google’s Android De...

Oh the bright and colourful, halcyon days of yore....

Last century was cheerfully laced with many shades. I suppose this century, with all the blacks and greys and whites we are perhaps pushed towards thinking of it as gaudy....
