My first attempt at Vaeloth, Hellborn Paladin from Reaper Miniatures. This is the older pewter version of the mini. I have two more Bones copies of this mini to paint as well.

The Crafty DM gets credit for the idea. This is my take on it, with colored tea candles for magical effects.

Yep, earning stars can provide a number of benefits in the campaign. It is a nice incentive program, that encourages players to step up to GM, while it helps Paizo keep track of everything that is being played.

13th Age is a great game, and a wonderful homage to everything that is awesome about Dungeons & Dragons. Today, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, the 13th Age core rule book PDF is on sale for $15. Check it out.

Today only, celebrate
+Dungeons & Dragons 40th birthday with 40% off the 13th Age PDF at +DriveThruRPGhttp://bit.ly/1n2rwIN

In this love letter to the classic game, designers Rob Heinsoo (4th edition D&D) and Jonathan Tweet (3rd edition D&D) team up to make the fantasy game they most want to play now -- by taking the best parts of the familiar d20-rolling fantasy genre's history and adding innovative new mechanics to provide a fast, fun and accessible play experience for newbie players and RPG veterans alike.

In other words, it's pretty great. Give it a try!

Discussion  -

Has there been any talk about shortening the length of your podcast? If not, I would like to put forward that proposal as a topic for discussion in the interests of improving the show.

Listening to Darker Days hooked me on podcasts, but I noticed early on that each episode was really long. Quite often I found it difficult to fit the show into a single sitting, and I am not really a fan of splitting a show up into bits and pieces. At this point, I listen to several podcasts and I have learned that DDR really is the exception to the rule. Most range in duration from 30 to 60 minutes, a time frame that seems much more reasonable. A couple articles I read about successful podcasting suggest no more than 45 to 60 minutes. Any longer and you start driving away potential audience for any number of several reasons.

Your content is great. However, I am sad to admit it, there have been times I just skipped an episode because I didn't have time to listen to it (especially, the 2 hour or more episodes).

Any thoughts?

Well a point that I realized is that while we have NWoD and CWoD segments, we will also try and see what we can apply from those discussions to the other game lines. So have the shown broken down into separate shows doesn't make sense.

The other thing that was brought up on Facebook book was that 'surely you could edit it to be a shorter show'. But to do that would mean more formal scripting, and recording and perhaps recording sections in and effort to make it more consise, which would mean a loss of the inherent spontaniety of the show.

Now as for timestamps... well that will take some time to do for all the shows, so if people feel like they can help us with this is would speed up the process.
