Many of us can code, and we have done so for decades, but our jobs have been sent offshore and temporary workers on temporary visas have been brought in to displace us, so even though we can code, we no longer are given the opportunity to do so simply because we are not creating enough jobs for the quantity of people that we have that can code

Dave King was fired -- IBM calls it “resource action” -- from the Dubuque services center about a year ago. The 62-year-old father of three is now driving a school bus 20 hours a week. He failed to...

In my previous article, I showed this spreadsheet: Notice how we were at 44.56% in 1990 and we are at 44.10% in 2015? If jobs had not been sent offshore, wouldn't it be safe to say that the percent...

Are you able to run the welder off of the solar, or do you have to use a generator?

+Virgil Bierschwale Bob was correct. I use my noisy generator. My inverter welder can weld at 200A and is a pretty big one. A smaller one might work ok, although I would never do it as it would stress the batteries. Cheers Paul

What is sad is ALL of us, citizen and temporary visa holder, are being treated as a disposable commodity in the work force.

As an example, to create a position for you, the H-1B worker, an American like myself had to be forced out of the workforce simply because we are not creating enough new jobs in the computer occupational group to provide jobs for citizens and temporary workers on temporary visas.

That was phase 1.

For phase 2 we are seeing that they are dangling a green card in front of you to keep you motivated knowing all the while that you may not ever receive that green card, and then as you grow older, you also experience being replaced by freshers who may or may not be qualified, just as I experienced.

The only way I know to stop this is for citizen and immigrants alike to become part of a group that is willing to strike for a better life, but that won't work if we are not all united.

Across the U.S. economy, data jobs are multiplying and the digits on their paychecks are attractive.  New numbers highlight another benefit to workers in this field—very low unemployment rates.  Th...

Forced out of the IT work force for the most part back in March 2003, I am following this story with a lot of interest simply because I was able to land a small gig each year from 2004 to 2010, but...

If I could show you that the myth that 50% percent do not pay taxes, or the myth that H-1B's are better educated or the myth that 70% of GDP is based on the American consumer were false, would you at least read one article and try to disprove it? http://keepamericaatwork.com/?p=200297
