Well worth the visit. Cheap admission. The museum setup is fantastic. The Pacific vs. Europe war room was excellent. Would suggest families with children would enjoy this extremely. Allow a minimum of an hour to visit if you are touring the two ships and submarine. Need both hands to get down narrow stairs on ships so take a small bag or stuff everything in your pockets :)

Well worth the visit. Its always been nice but they've done a ton of improvements over the years and really expanded the Museum portion... They have a neat assortment of model Coast Guard ships upstairs that you can't pass up... The 3 ships open for tours are wonderful all around, though it would of been nice to see more areas of the Little Rock. several sections were either closed or have been converted to open Museum space from their original uses. The displays dedicated to local veterans- air force, army, navy and marines- are outstanding. They have an army camp exhibit as well that features alot of historical American and British items and weapons dating to WWII. The bar and grill on the premises, Liberty Hound, was outstanding despite being packed. If your willing to wait for a table, the food is excellent. I came here expecting a few hours of entertainment, we ended up being at the park for about 6 hours instead, so make sure you have a good block of time free to see everything. We visited on the weekend, so it was pretty crowded at times... If you really want to take your time going through the ships id suggest visiting on a weekday.

Outstanding museum! Kids and I loved it. Would be back again. So much to see. I recommend to have *at least* 3 hours to enjoy it.

Loved it! I like military history and walking these 3 ships was a very nice experience. I visited on Veteran's Day 2015, and the tour is designed in such a way that you are on your own most of the time, following directions, reading displays and, overall, admiring the living and fighting quarters of the men that fought in these ships. Not for the claustrophobic... but certainly something to recommend for all, especially families with kids.

I took a group of 6th grade Girl Scouts on the Camp Overnight. This program is exceptional for both girls and boys! They have done an outstanding job of converting these ships into floating museums while still preserving the majority of the ship in it's original condition. Their collection of military artifacts was quite impressive It's obvious that a lot of time, energy and love has gone into and maintaining this park. The staff does an outstanding job of being accessible and doing anything they can to make your stay more enjoyable. All we encountered were also very knowledgeable about the history of the ships in the park. Our girls took the docent tour in the morning. This is definitely NOT to be skipped. The docents are all veterans, some serving on the very vessels your touring, which was our case. Our guide not only gave the girls an informative tour but regaled them with first hand stories of battle using the very artillery they were learning about! Really bring the history alive. I would definitely put this in the top 5 New York State destinations of things to do with kids. It is a bit pricy for an overnight, but it is worth every penny! My girls are already planning their next visit!

I loved being able to see the insides of the ships and the submarine. The mini museums were so so.

The people of Buffalo have done an outstanding job taking such good care of these ships. I am a military historian and get chills (good ones) down my spine when walking through these warships. Every school within 200 miles should schedule a visit so the students could experience by seeing, touching and just feeling the history there. My father has long passed away, but would loved to have walked back into the 6" triple gun turret on the USS Little Rock as he was a gun captain on the USS Birmingham CL-62. Thank you for a wonderful experience, I can't wait to come back!
