I have some flowers for you with a nice Castle in the background. Würzburg in spring is really beautiful. I need to photograph it more often, it's just one hour drive after all

A little before and after again. On the left is a focus stacked image that just went through lightroom and then five differently focused exposures were manually stacked.

Afterwards I applied some postprocessing to control contrast and color and to give the photo a more balanced look. Most of the techniques used I also describe in my start2finish tutorial (http://www.mibreit-photo.com/tutorials/start2finish.html).

50 Minutes of post processing in two minutes. Maybe parts of it will be in an upcomming tutorial as real time version ;-)

Got the Cover + a little article in the current issue of the Landscape Photography Magazine. If you are interested in how I dealt with the coastal fog on the US west coast last year check it out.
Travels shouldn't always be about photographing the next sunset! Be content with the available light and the chance to see extraordinary landscapes.

Hello +Janice Oliver . My share was also intended to advertise the magazine, which is great. Currently they have an offer where you get 5 Issues for just 5 GBP and they also have couple of free issues. Just look around on the LPM site if you want.

cheers

Great sharpening tutorial by Michael Woloszynowicz. If you are heading  for real fine detail then you can just use it with a radius of 1 or two and duplicate the sharpening layer a few times. This really brings out some nice details in landscape photos. Having higher radius will target microcontrast which you can also use.

Introduction
I'm a professional software engineer living near Nürnberg, Germany.

With Photography I started in 2008 and it quickly became a passion. Since I always loved to be out in nature, I was drawn to Landscape photography right from the start. Wide scenic landscapes, waterfalls, mountain vistas and coasts are my favourite subjects.
