Great post.  Our Memories Fade #genealogy #memories
It is sad but true, our memories fade. Even if you are only in your forties, your memories are fading. Honestly, I never really thought about it until the past few days. Let me explain why...

In folklore the black nursemaid was seen as a dutiful, self-sacrificing black woman who loved her white family and its children every bit as much as her own. Yet the popular images of the loyal, contented black nursemaid, or “mammy,” were unfortunately far from the reality for the African-American women who worked in these homes. In 1912 the ...

If you think Genealogy is boring, then you must be doing something wrong! Reality TV has nothing on your ancestors' adventures!

Introduction
Love of family and a passion for genealogy is the reason for this blog.  I wanted to document my family's history.  Hence the name of my blog "alhupartu" it represents my ancestors (my Allen, Hurston, Parker and Turner family).  My best times are spent listening to my parents talk about their childhood.   I love that we can share information and memories of our ancestors to our children and future generations.  #genealogy #familyhistory #research
Bragging rights
I love, love, love my family, they are the best and I am blessed.
