Went here during the summer for the water area. Very big space, never over crowded. Water is very shallow, just enough to wet your feet. Brought my daughter here a few times and had a picnic which was very fun. They have tables/benches with umbrellas on one side of the water area which I think is for the restaurant but many non-costumers just sit there with no problem. I didn't have any problem sitting there.

I love ice skating here! Music echoes through the space. Two rinks provide enough space so it doesn't become overcrowded. One rink has a roof over top and the other is outdoors open to the sky to enjoy the sunshine. There are concession stands with basic snacks and drinks. The lockers available provide a safe place to store your items. They are a good size, but your Tote will not fit in this locker.

Probably one of the best water spray features I've ever seen in the city so far. Bought french fries, mac and cheese, a veggie burger and roasted cauliflower for lunch. All delicious. Crowded of course, but it's a hot feature in Prospect Park, so that's to be expected. Managed to nab a picnic table before too long, but you can always set up a blanket nearby and do lunch there. Had a great time with my 1 year old here on a hot Saturday in July.

At LeFrak Center at Lakeside within Brooklyn’s Prospect Park there were amazing the two rinks with ice skating. In addition I liked the boats and bike rentals, and lake activities. The picnic areas are spacious and the walkways gives the relaxation you deserve. Enjoy. ****

So much fun!! I felt like a kid again roller skating it brought back so many great memories. This establishment is great if you are just there to watch or participate you will have a good time. The DJ mixed it up well that you had no choice but to dance while skating and busting moves trying to avoid those who lost their footing or rhythm. The customer service was very helpful when the locker code didn't work they found an alternative solution quickly.

The LeFrak Center holds a special place in our hearts because this is where curling in Brooklyn takes place. My wife and I have curled on and off for 8 years. When we moved to Brooklyn we had pretty much given up on our curling ambitions. Then, we learned that CurlNYC was bringing curling to Prospect Park. We spent last winter as curling instructors at LeFrak. We had a great time at this facility. Brooklyn is really lucky to have such a great facility (even if people use it for reasons other than curling). Based on how busy it always is, LeFrak has clearly satisfied a need for skaters, hockey players, and, of course, long-suffering city curlers. We always found the staff to be quite helpful and the facility was always well maintained. It is a gem within a gem of a park. Now if they would just build an indoor curling rink there!

Ice skating here is a nice alternative to the over-crowded rinks in Manhattan. It's worth the trip here for several reasons. First, there are 2 rinks that you can cross over to. One is outdoors so you can enjoy the sun while you skate, or if you want to avoid the sun, you can go to the covered rink. When the Zambonis come to resurface the ice, they do it one rink at a time so you don't have to get off the ice like at other rinks. The lockers work off bills and is a nice convenience if you want to stash small items like sneakers and a small bag. Large bags will not fit.

LeFrak Center at Prospect Park is the place to be in the summer or winter! Most recently for the winter months, an inaugural curling league has started! Holding it's first Learn to Curl event in November 2014, CurlNYC offers instructional leagues. In addition, LeFrak offers ice skating and hockey. It is a beautiful facility with warm rooms for those chilly days as well as a really nice snack bar that puts roller skating rinks from the 1990s to shame! You can also grab a glass of beer or wine after you are done playing for the afternoon! Not what I was expecting to find in Prospect Park!
