Here's a story I wrote for PCGamesN on how dedicated gamers are putting themselves at risk of pulmonary embolisms.

This looks interesting! Maia was one of the most promising games I saw at Rezzed.

As Jonathan Haynes just said: "A judge we can't name in a court we can't name on a case we can't name has blocked a film about the London riots."

A retrospective of X-Wing that I wrote for Eurogamer, and in which I suggest George Lucas gives Star Wars the boot.

A chap called D_arkTrooper has posted a couple of useful links for people trying to get the game(s) running on newer OSs. I haven't tried myself, but it could be well worth a shot.

Absolutely read the last work published before Ray Bradbury's death. Hours before, in fact. This is something special.

An introductory feature I wrote for Eurogamer, to bring more video gamers to board gaming. This one's doing very well right now, particularly on Reddit!

Board games are the new black. Xbox Live has nothing on sitting round a table trash-talking your opponents in Talisman.

The brutality of a real Medieval war, as opposed to a fake one. Here's a preview I wrote a little while ago, but forgot to link to because I was in San Diego.

Also, I went to see Creative Assembly and, y'know, have a look at their big exciting new game thing. It's Rome II.

I previewed the indie sci-fi empire builder Endless Space for IGN. This is an interesting one, a game actually made in concert with its community, the design documents shared online for all to see.
How Amplitude Studios invited a world of gamers to build a galaxy of experience.

Thirty five years to get out of the Solar System. That's a pretty good rate of knots.

This is a great local takeaway who give good value for money, serve very good food and also provide a very quick service. They're one of the best London takeaways I've ever used and I don't say that lightly.
