A wildlife refuge in a beautiful setting. Butterfly, bird, snake and cat buildings home to injured, confiscated pets or animals that otherwise can not live in the wild. A nice hiking pass descends a spectacular series of waterfalls. Entrance fee is expensive but worth it.

Beautiful place, beautiful animals, excellent views and weather. Don't forget your umbrella and another pair of shoes.

This is one of the best places I've ever been to. The scenery is breathtaking. I liked the fact that they take care of the animals that they exhibit. You can see from butterflies, monkeys, birds, Hummingbirds, snakes and some Jaguars. Once you get to the waterfalls it is the best experience you can have and it makes that whole trip worth it. As a recommendation you should bring or buy there a raincoat because if you want to get close you'll get wet. Finally the food was great, it's an all you can eat buffet.

Amazing place you should visit if you got there time. The food was really good and the exhibits are really good planned. I had an amazing time here. It was the best park I ever been to (with animals in captivity) I would highly recommend the feeding of the cats.

Got here to find that the entry fee was 40USD per person - way more than I think it's worth. I'm sure it'd be good for day trips from San Jose but if you're traveling through Costa Rica you'll see most of this stuff in the wild for free. Furthermore, the main La Paz waterfall is actually outside the grounds so you can visit it for free.

Just get out of the jungle by dusk... otherwise you'll set off alarms and it fairly dangerous with the wildlife in the area.
