Food was great! Im only giving it 4stars tho bc the so called "jumbo" scallops were in fact super tiny. However they were still tasty. The bar was cool the dining room ceiling was sloppy. Service was good although she almost checked on us too many times. Would def go back.

This is where everyone should be going in Dogtown. Forget the old legends that are sadly washed-up and bland. La Gra has the BEST espresso martini ever, and great other drinks. The staff is EXTREMELY accommodating. One time we showed up with a party of like 10 and they found room for us and let us order food, even though the kitchen was closing. They have live music, good food, great drinks, and a very pleasing atmosphere.

Worst $19 pasta, worst $17 chicken spadini and worst Caesar salad. Drinks are great. We waited 45 minutes to get seated and then another 20 for our server to get to us and our server ended up being the bartender. They were not busy at all or I would totally understand why it took so long. Calimari was very small portion and fried out. Food arrived warm not hot but strange because the kitchen was 10 steps away. Had a groupon this is the only reason we came and will not b back.

What a shame... so much potential. Great location, cozy atmosphere... horribly managed!!! It is my understanding this was a great place to visit prior to new ownership or management. All the ingredients for a successful cafe/eatery are in place but due to absolutely awful service and management this restaurant fails on an epic scale. Water was brought after being seated... off to a good start. After waiting 20 minutes for our server we finally got up and ordered drinks from the bar which still took 10 minutes. I'd be more patient if the place was busy but they weren't. Over priced stuffed olive appetizer. Martini very salty and veeerrrry light on vodka. Wine.. ok. After waiting an eternity for our main dish, mine was served cold and my dining partner's was brought out 15 minutes later... also cold to warm. the Chicken Speidini was dry and tasteless. The medallions had potential if not served cold and 15 minutes after my friends meal with no apology. I've had better service at White Castle's drive through... really. Suggestion for management/servers/chef - head south a few blocks to The HIll and take a few tips from the Italians. Ugh!

Went there recently with a group of friends. Ordered the "classic " toasted ravioli. They were mostly empty with a small amount of cheese inside - NO MEAT! Service was terrible- a friend ordered a personal pizza and was brought a large. The server did not apologize and charged her for the full price. We will not be going back.

The crab cakes were to die for!!! My salmon entree with pesto pasta was also delicious. The waitress was very friendly. She made me feel really welcomed there. Some of the entrees are a little pricey, but, overall, I still recommend this place and will return here. I went a 2nd time and wanted to say that I tried their white sangria! Delicious!!!

Eat here Often and love it. Great small place in Dogtown. Love the food and wine list. Staff in normally very helpful and pleasant. Chicken Spedini and Risotto are amazing. Food does take a little while sometimes, but with their affordable and diverse wine list I always enjoy my wait. I highly recommend you try this place but recommend you make reservations on weekends (like most places).
