Friends! Can you help me choose between the eight designs for a #ghostwriter t-shirt I'm having designed? I feel like I'm stuck in the cereal aisle trying to choose my best breakfast for tomorrow ...
thanks!

Planning my trip to Seattle in the next two weeks to meet with folks abt a few gigs, and knock on some new doors. Looking at arriving between the 14th and the 26th. If you're in the city the second and third week of September would you like to meet for coffee?

"In the event of MOON DISASTER" The speech written by William Safire for President Nixon in case the men who made it to the moon couldn't make it back home. Cool stuff, with Bill Safire's audio commentary just below the image of the speech draft.

Today we're rolling out the ability to collapse and expand comments in your stream, as well as a few tweaks to the way real-time comments are displayed. Thanks again and let us know what you think!

Video Transcript

It's been great to hear that one of your favorite parts about Google+ is the dynamic nature of the Stream. In real-time, posts and comments arrive in your stream -- no refresh required.

While this is pretty awesome, it can sometimes be overwhelming. You've said that really active conversations with lots of comments can take over your stream. And comments appearing in real-time can sometimes make updates hard to read.

Well, today, we're fixing all this.

First, we're making it so you can easily expand and collapse comments in the Stream. Just click once to expand, click again to collapse.

And when comments arrive in real-time, we'll automatically collapse them. But, we'll still keep track of which comments you've read and which you haven't. This way, you get to choose when to engage and when not to.

We hope both of these features make your stream more pleasant to read. These are just two of the many improvements we're making based on your feedback.

Thanks again for all your great ideas and keep them coming!

Being a big believer in shared knowledge, I've begun to make a list of people I'm intending on meeting between now and this time next year. I'm not sure how in the heck I'm going to do this, but, to a degree, just mentioning it here in the "ether" compels me to fulfill my goal.

...a rather odd way of goal setting, but one I've truly embraced since my adoption of Twitter, and now, G+. After all, these tools are, to me at least, communication tools ... AND goal setting tools. So, along those lines, here are a few folks I'm gearing up to meet in the next twelve months. The reasons for wanting to catch up with these folks cover a wide scope of interest, so I won't detail them here, but nonetheless, I look forward to tagging up. Who are you going to meet in the next twelve months? Put it down "on paper" ... so-to-speak ... and watch it materialize before your eyes!!! :-)

Mine?

+Leo Babauta
+Guy Kawasaki
+Chris Brogan
Joe Galloway (writer of We Were Soldiers Once ... and Young)
+Keith Burtis
+Peter Samson
Tim Ferriss (most know who this cat is ... author of the "Four Hour Work Week"
Russell Simmons (um ... you know him, for certain.)
David McCullough (genius author and historian)
Sarah Cunningham (archivist at the LBJ library)

That's 10 ... there are many more. Wanna' start a competition? Who are the folks you'd like to meet this "year" the people who can help you change your life for the better? Let's keep one another in check. I'm game! How about you?

+Doc Kane Like Guy, I am honored to be on your list. SXSW is usually a pretty good place to knock a bunch off! It's like geek homecoming in Austin, in March. It would certainly be great to meet you as well!

New Circle! MUSICIANS. Are you a musician? Let me know ... I'm a drummer, and love knowing other closet tunesmiths.

Golden Slumbers anyone? One month old performance at Yankee Stadium. Not bad for a song recorded 42 years ago, eh? Love it. Enjoy!
P.S. Sir Paul, is ... wait for it ... 69 years old. Yep. 69.

Introduction
Doc Kane is the communications director and founder of Roscommon, a marketing communications firm that helps clients outsource their writing needs. If it has words, we do it! His firm has the privilege of writing for some of the world’s most recognizable brands, including Abbott Labs and Aon Corporation, and a good number of small businesses making a lot of noise in their own backyards. Doc has also been heavily involved in Internet marketing since 1994, and continues to help small businesses market themselves online via web content and SEO. You can visit Roscommon online at: www.roscommon.com

Doc is also the owner of TheBaker.com an online retail and community site dedicated to the home and professional baker and pastry-maker.  A long-time baker himself, Doc grew up working in restaurants and was fortunate to work for a short time with esteemed pastry chef Adrienne Odom at Solera in Minneapolis. TheBaker.com donates 5% of it's profits annually to the Chicago Food Depository.

Doc is a frequent guest lecturer and panelist at Loyola University where he speaks most commonly on entrepreneurship, social media and freelance writing.

Aside from Doc's baking and writing interests, his past experience in the music industry led him to write "The Music Industry Guidebook ... A clear guide to getting a job in the music industry" in 2006. His long-running music business advice site, MusicBusinessPage.com has been online since 1994 dispensing entertainment career advice to thousands of aspiring music business executives.

Doc is the former Chicago IABC finance director, former regional representative for Global Entrepreneurship Week, and former Secretary and Marketing Director for Singapore Chicago Connection.  All "former" due to a move back East. He was also a research consultant, and featured on-camera, for Pequeno Produce, (spelling is correct!) a Spanish production company that filmed a  documentary entitled "Disney Through The Looking Glass" in Chicago.

Doc is currently residing in Pennsylvania while working on the Lou Reda Production "Vietnam in HD" for the History Channel.

Interested in great ideas, great people, great food & great music. Working on moving to Seattle this Fall.
