For a restaurant that is going for an authentic, farm to table mission, they seem to be trying very hard and not in the right ways. Not a fan of all the costumes and just overall fake theatrics. Our waiter was performing rather than being genuine, pacing back and forth telling us way too much information and never seemed to stop talking, causally dropping misogynistic comments that made the entire group uncomfortable. For example when discussing the drink menu, "we don't have any blenders here ladies" and then later he would make comments about how "his momma didn't like dirty dishes" and so on. We ordered the fried green tomatoes for an app. They were delicious, the batter was nice and they were fried well. The waiter would come by and tell us more information, then leave. He did this several times, stalling our chances to order. So the main dishes came out an hour later and by that time we were running late. I ordered the chicken and cheese melt and it was dry. One person in our group ordered the ramen, would not recommend. He said the pork belly was crispy rather than soft, the pork broth tasted like a beef bouillon cube, the noodles were over cooked and there was no egg. No one was really happy with their food that night and we left disappointed. I might try Whiskey Cake again, but I would not recommend it to anyone.

I've been to Whiskey Cake twice now, and they certainly do great work with certain types of food. In these two times, we had a couple of appetizers and a few main dishes. I had many cocktails. What I will say categorically is that most of their menu is thought out and well-prepared. Avoid the ramen dish, however. It's got way too much meat. The ramen are cheap and thin. There are very few vegetables or typical accoutrements that come with Japanese ramen, and the broth is merely serviceable.

This is one of my girlfriends and my favorite places in Oklahoma City. The food is consistently great every time we come in, their cocktails are as unique as they are fresh, and they have a great bourbon selection. It is pricey and the selection is a bit limited but this is to be expected. The restaurant, I feel, is as advertised if not better. If you're looking for free sides and a cheap sub par meal try Applebee's or Ruby Tuesday's.

It's good only because they have fresh food but their variety isn't very big and most of the entrees you can't change out your side's you have to just deal with what they give you. I'm not a picky eater but most of their sides don't go together very well with the entrees. Our waiter Anthony was very nice and knew the menu well but he doesn't know how to stop talking. We also sat there for 40-50 minutes just waiting on him to bring us our check and we also never got refills on our drinks. It's a very interesting restaurant but I would rather eat McDonald's

Service was awesome! I always sit at the bar because the bartenders are super cool. I love how they chip an ice ball for a whiskey on the rocks. The food was mediocre... except for the whiskey cake. Man... that thing is super good!

What a nice surprise. Very good Sunday Brunch with Bloody Mary's. Yummy Eggs Benedict. Amber, my bartender, was a delight.

I'm giving Whiskey Cake 4 stars because the service was amazing. The food was steller, would highly recommend the duck. Haven't had the pleasure of trying a desert yet. Would have given 5 stars, but I was rather disappointed that for the price I couldn't have 2 sides.

The server was very knowledgeable and eager to please. The menu was very small and not much variety. My step dad couldn't find anything he wanted on the menu. I ordered the rotisserie chicken, which had good flavor, but the only side you get is green beans. Any other sides added is additional. More variety and adding 2 sides to the entrees would give it more stars. The whiskey cake was very good, would recommend getting desert!
