This is where Jeni began making the ice creams that The New York Times called “worth the drive to Ohio” and Time magazine called “the best in America.” When Jeni opened in 2002, Jeni could be found making and selling all the ice creams herself behind two dipping cabinets. Today, Jeni continues to draw inspiration from the merchants, food, customers, and overall vibe of the historic city market. She’s often there for events—and to shop for ingredients to use in her home and work kitchens.

Keeping rating at 5 stars. Visiting Columbus for the weekend with my gf, we stopped by here with a friend around lunchtime. I opted for the lemon froyo and vanilla bean in a cone, which went really well together. Still one of the best ice cream shops in the nation.

Buyer beware! The ice cream I ordered for my mother-in-law's birthday arrived a day late and melted. When I contacted Jeni's to inform them of the issue they would not replace/resend except at my cost (1/2 the cost of the ice cream plus shipping). This is after the 4 other phone calls I had already made to FedEx customer service. In speaking with Arin at Jeni's she informed me that the address I provided was incorrect and this simply isn't true. I shared with her that I send packages to my in-laws on a regular basis and there has not once been an issue. Arin then told me that there may not have issues with 'regular' shipments but it is different with perishables. I explained to her that I send my in-laws food for every birthday/holiday and be it Graeters Ice Cream, The Cheesecake Factory, Honeybaked Ham, Cheryls' cookies, etc. I have never had a problem. To pay $61 for four pints ice cream, only to have it arrive melted, a day after someone's birthday is unacceptable. For Jeni's to then say I had to pay for someone else's error added insult to injury and demonstrated clearly their lack of commitment to customer service.

At ton of 'fad' flavors. Some of the more traditional flavors are good but $5 for two HALF scoops? The only reason it is rated as high as it is is because it is the current in thing. You are out of step with your designer friends if you don't think it is the greatest. DO try the dark chocolate if you are a chocolate lover with deep pockets.

Too expensive for the same quality as many other locally made ice creams.

Great ice cream! Locally made from locally sourced ingredients. My daughter said the staff was "super nice". A little more than I planned on spending but worth it

Red raspberries pulverized with sugar. As simple and classic as they come. Perfect in a glass of champagne or with a poached peach.
