Avoid at all costs! It's the nearest to a concentration camp you will ever be! All that is missing is a chamber room. It's a dated hotel, desperately in need of a revival. Tired hall carpets to tacky cheap bedroom interiors. The bathroom is old and plain. Towels smell of burn. We tried eating dinner at the restaurant but half of the menu was not available as they had run out of food. And if you keep asking, it seems like the waiting staff might slap you on the face. Very rude. From reception to waiters. Breakfast very simple. Ah, we stayed at the 4th floor and you might as well take your mattress and sleep on the streets as it's so bloody noise - windows have no sound proof AT ALL. When we ordered an ion board from reception they said we'd have to come down and take it! Ridiculous! Awful hotel. Not even its proximity to Gard du Nord can make up for its complete failure. P.S we stayed for 4 nights and our bed sheets weren't changed once! No safe in the bedroom either. Avoid at all costs! Avoid at all costs!

It's a nice hotel with nice big clean rooms, a restaurant and a lovely pub attached to it. However, it has an appallingly bad noise insulation. My partner and I stayed there for a couple of nights. We could hear everything and everyone around our room. From people walking in the corridors, tv, conversations, doors banging and to our surprise and discomfort even a couple next door "at" it. After a day of sightseeing or business, you don't want much of a hotel, but a good room where you can just relax. We found ourselves awake till late hours due to the noise. Improve the noise insulation then it will be perfect.

As a brazilian, I was absolutely disgusted by the food and price of this restaurant. Firstly, my boyfriend and I ordered some Cheese Bread "pão de queijo" and Chicken balls "Coxinhas". The Coxinhas, which were a rip-off, were vile - thick with too much of breadcrumb coating, and they looked cremated and tasted of charcoal! Nothing like the ones you'd buy in any street café in Brazil. The cheese bread were ok, but again, to charge nearly £5 for 4 pieces is a daylight robbery. Now, the main courses were utterly disastrous! I ordered the prawn moqueca which was basically cold, dripping with Dendê Oil (palm tree oil), no herbs or peppers in it, just a plain tasteless oily fatty sauce with a few prawns. My partner had the brazilian national dish Feijoada, which again was hideous - black beans with what looked like minced pork meat in a mush with no herbs or whatsoever. On top of that, it took aaaaages for it come. We complained to the waiter and he gave us a discount. Not sure about the other dishes, however, taken from this experience, if you really like someone and want to take them for a nice meal, avoid this place!
