"وانك لعلى خلق عظيم"
كل مولد نبوي وانتم اليه اقرب.

Last week we celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ (PBUH), this week we are celebrating the birth of Muhammad (PBUH).

I would like to celebrate his birth by reading some of his quotes that I do my best to always include them in my daily life:

- “God will not give mercy to anyone, except those who give mercy to other creatures.”
- “The best of you are those who are best to the women.”
- “The best richness is the richness of the soul.”
- “What actions are most excellent? To gladden the heart of human beings, to feed the hungry, to help the afflicted, to lighten the sorrow of the sorrowful, and to remove the sufferings of the injured.”
- “Women are the twin halves of men.”
- “A Muslim who plants a tree or sows a field, from which man, birds and animals can eat, is committing an act of charity.”
- “I command you to treat women kindly…”
- “Say what is true, although it may be bitter and displeasing to people.”
- “Kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever is not kind has no faith.”
- “When you see a person who has been given more than you in money and beauty, look to those, who have been given less.”
- “Whoever is kind, Allah will be kind to him; therefore be kind to man on the earth. He who is in heaven will show mercy on you.”
- “The perfect Muslim is not a perfect Muslim, who eats till he is full and leaves his neighbors hungry.”
- “Allah has revealed to me, that you must be humble. No one should boast over one another, and no one should oppress another.”
- “Allah does not look at your appearance or your possessions; but He looks at your heart and your deeds.”
- “Keep yourselves far from envy; because it eats up and takes away good actions, like a fire eats up and burns wood.”
- “Verily, it is one of the respects to Allah to honor an old man.”
- “Strive always to excel in virtue and truth.”
- “You will not enter paradise until you have faith; and you will not complete your faith till you love one another.”
- “The best of alms is that, which the right hand gives and the left hand knows not of.”
- “No man is a true believer unless he desires for his brother that, what he desires for himself.”
- “Be not like the hypocrite who, when he talks, tells lies; when he gives a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he proves dishonest.”)
- “Do you know what is better than charity and fasting and prayer? It is keeping peace and good relations between people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind.”
“A father gives his child nothing better than a good education.”
“The strong person is not the one who can wrestle someone else down. The strong person is the one who can control himself when he is angry.”
- “Conduct yourself in this world, as if you are here to stay forever; prepare for eternity as if you have to die tomorrow.”
“The worldly comforts are not for me. I am like a traveler, who takes a rest under a tree in the shade and then goes on his way.”
- “I am leaving two things among you, and if you cling to them firmly you will never go astray; one is the Book of Allah and the other is my way of life.”

The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born on 12, Rabi Alawal (Moon calendar month) and died also on the same day of the month 63 years later.
When he was chosen to become a prophet, he was 40. Even though he did not know how to read or write, the first word from God revealed to him by Gabriel was 'Read', which is the first word in Quran.

I believe in Jesus, as much as I believe in Muhammad, Moses, Abraham, Noah and the rest of God's messengers and prophets peace be upon all of them.
In fact, believing in God's prophets, all of them at once is a MUST to become a Muslim.
I celebrate the birth of Jesus by remembering his story while reading the following phrases from Quran:

"( 27 ) Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented. ( 28 ) O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste." ( 29 ) So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?" ( 30 ) [Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah. He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet. ( 31 ) And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah (Charity) as long as I remain alive
( 32 ) And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant. ( 33 ) And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."
- Mary 27-33 - Jesus (by name) was mentioned 25 times in Quran while Muhammad (by name) was mentioned 4 times.
- In Quran there is one Surah/Chapter called 'Aal-Imran' which means 'Imran's family' the family of Virgin Mary. It is the 2nd longest chapter in Quran.
- There is another Chapter in Quran named 'Mary' after the Virgin Mary. In this chapter you will find the story of Jesus.
- We believe Jesus Christ will descend from heaven at the end of days and kill the Anti-Christ and there will be peace on earth for a few years, we as Muslims ordered to follow him if we lived to witness that.

The photo attached is a photo I took inside Umayyad Mosque in Damascus and the tomb in that photo belongs to John the baptist. Which also considered as a prophet in Islam.

With goTenna, "No Service" is no problem
#goTenna enables you to communicate without any need for central connectivity whatsoever—no cell towers, no wifi, no satellites—so when you're off-grid you can remain connected. In fact, goTenna will even work if your smartphone is in “Airplane Mode”! How does this magic work?

As night falls on certain beaches around the world, the waves glow with an eerie blue light: tiny, neon dots that make it look as though stars are washing up on shore.
