Introduction
I'm a disturbed and disturbing Canadian software geek-turned English teacher-turned father-turned back to (part-time) software geek living, to my surprise, in the People's Republic of China.
If you're trying to categorize me by circle, here are a few circles you might try:
- software development, especially Erlang but not restricted to Erlang
- programming language archaeology
- international music
- international cuisine
- teaching ESL/EFL
- political cynicism (a pox on all their houses!)
If you're a single-issue activist whose feed will be filled mainly with one-sided ranting on your issue of choice, please don't bother circling me.
The same applies to you if you mostly spew marketing for some company or another in your feed.
I should note that I'm also a gamer (tabletop RPG, board games, card games, miniatures games, etc.) but I don't have a gamers circle because … past experience has shown that people whose only point of shared interest is games tend to annoy me to no end. I've deleted everybody who's "just a gamer" and won't be circling anybody whose only point of shared interest is gaming. Sorry.
