Fans of the Earthdawn setting have been through some rough seas, so to speak, as many creative visions have combined and, in some cases, clashed over bringing the best ideas they could into the game and the setting so well loved by so many. Perhaps no…

The Golden Age Blog put up the J.R.R. Tolkien calendars of the years 1976, 1977, 1978, 1990, 1993 and 1994!!
Various artists  like Gregg and Tim Hildebrandt, Alan Lee or Michael W. Kaluta made these beautiful pieces of art long before the hollywood LOTR came to be.

Follow +ThegnThrand  for some really awesome test of various iron and bronze age weapons against coconut skull-ed ballistic gel heads (& other test objects). Great for RPGs or other concept art. :)

So in cleaning up some VERY old files/paperwork and scanning them, I found some very early Earthdawn sizzle stuff. It's so old, it actually has the Therans called the Atlanteans. https://www.scribd.com/doc/258650366/Earthdawn-Sizzle-Release-Brochure

I think I may have to take a shot at making one, once my house game starts to pick up speed.

A new #Earthdawn  developer's blog post covering the recent redevelopment of creatures in 4E.

http://www.fasagames.com/blog/?post_id=103&title=earthdawn-blog%3A-creatures-%28revisited%29
Work has been proceeding on the Earthdawn Gamemaster's Guide. A few weeks back, we made a couple of preview chapters available to our Kickstarter backers, including the Creatures chapter, so people could hit the ground running and try some new stuff out. (Of course, we were looking for some ...

The #Earthdawn4  softcover Player Guides have begun to ship. Here are some quick pics from 'etherial'. Looks great!

A couple of glamour shots of the new ED4 Players' Guide which arrived in the mail today. Includes shots of comparison to the ED3 Players' Guide and a shot of my shelf in the Game Room for games I'm actively in. Werewolf: The Apocalypse on the left and Earthdawn on the right.

Story
Introduction
A passion for Art and Games drives me. I have been trained in high-end and game 3D and CG skillsets, including:
  • Lighting Artist (lighting and texturing with Maya, mental ray, and UDK)

  • Environment Artist (concept art, building, and rendering photorealistic and game environments)

  • Technical Artist (including particle effects, rendering GIS landscape data, coding and scripting for tools - MapTool, Maya and UDK).
While these are my 3D areas of focus, I also have experience with Modeling, Animating, Composition, and Level Design.

I try to balance these studies with time spent with my wonderful family and my other interests: my Martial Arts studies (Aikido, Kali Escrima, Pranayama), continuing to acquire cooking skills (I make a mean Teriyaki Chicken Burger - Kona Style), and staying balanced and playful in this present Moment (something a family full of surfers and scuba-divers teaches you).

Education
  • The Art Institute of Portland
Video Game Art & Design, 2009 - present
