I don't think so.. Argh that's going to really annoy me. I was going to say foramen magnum but then I realised that's the hole in the bottom of the skull that the spinal cord goes through

Listening to New Found Glory again, remembering my 15-18 year old, angsty self. As part of my GCSE art project, I bought one of those machines that stamps letters into black sticky plastic, like their logo (link attached). Did a sketchbook of the lyrics. Wish I still had it, despite the fact it probably violates all kinds of copyright.

Also made a music video of a Sum41 song. The VHS and the notebook are probably on a landfill somewhere now, which makes me quite sad.
Have you ever said to yourself, "If I only had three wishes.......I'd like to help to find a cure for cancer, bowl with my favorite Warped Tour band and visit San Diego?! We'll it's your lucky day, yo...

Had a dream that I had a little bat friend who visited me every night. I called him Bruce and fed him pears. Bruce was away for a few days and when he came back he was very ill. I tried to give him some pear but he just sat sadly on the windowsill. In the morning, I found him curled up dead on my chest.

A leading chiropterologist (not battologist, sadly. Interestingly, a battologist is a wearisome repetition of words) took him off me to autopsy. He discovered that a terrible disease was killing bats and the best way to combat it was to give them pear. Unfortunately, it couldn't save Bruce.

The photo of Bruce, who looks like the little guy in the attached image, and me was used in the Bruce Brings the Bats Back campaign and I became known as BatGirl: Defender of Bats.

At 17 I was mainly having a teenage crisis about my future. This girl knows hers... being awesome.

A colleague of mine interviewed the 17-year-old winner of this year's Google Science Fair.

Her name's Brittany Wegner and she built a cloud-based artificial neural network that helps diagnose and classify breast cancer.

What were you doing at age 17?

Introduction
Hello. I'm still finding my way about G+ so please bear with me. I will generally be posting about my writing, coffee and other things that tickle my pickle.

My cover photo is gratefully pilfered from Ian Hex. He is a photographical genius and you should look at his work, and his beard.
