My first visit to LuLu was in 2012 when it was a little Cafe serving really good food. I have been patronizing LuLu a couple dozen times a year most frequently in the summer with my usual delights being the mooney tuna and the rustic tuscan with tuna added with a mexican sangria being my favorite drink. Then I discovered the LuLu brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the LuLu Benedict and parisian eggs. Being single I generally dine alone taking a seat at the bar where the bartenders are usually quite busy and I take a "back seat" to the waitresses and other, apparently, more regular customers who trump my needs. I got used to it being Lulu service and that is the way this restaurant operates. After dining at LuLu this evening I am under the impression there is new kitchen staff as the mooney tuna that I ordered, medium rare, was try and difficult to cut into with a knife. I mentioned that it was dry to the bartender who served me. I was half way done with my meal so I did not want to re-order. (I'm not a mooch, just like my food cooked the way I asked). The person who cooked the order was out in the bar talking to the regulars and the bartender told her of my being disatified. The look on her face was unpleasant so when she asked if I wanted it redone I said no because I did not want saliva on my food from an upset cook. Although the bartender discounted my check I paid in full. (Again, I'm not a mooch). So for me, at this point, it looks like I'll be changing my restaurant option from LuLu to Koi, or Hue or Cafe Centraal or Cafe India or Honey Pie or Lazy Susan..because there are other choices and by the service at LuLu it is apparent they do not need me as a customer. It was nice while it lasted.

A go-to restaraunt in the milwaukee area. Always a great meal, and a large enough menu to cater to anyones needs or taste. The loaded lulu chips with their blue cheese is a must if you have 3 or more hungry people (a little much for 2 people as an appetizer if you plan on getting a meal as well). The weekly specials are always good and add some excitement to make me come back time after time The beer selection on tap have a large enough variety of craft brews to fancy anyone's thirst

A pleasant surprise, we walked into an empty place but before we had our drinks their were 10 other tables sitting down. Nicole was our server and she was very nice. Although we felt very neglected getting caught in the noon rush. Not kid friendly, my BFF had to change her son on the bathroom floor. When the food arrived our negative attitudes changed. The food was delicious even the 7 dollar kids chick strip lunch was so juicy, I love the homemade potato chips

I just moved into the Bayview area and was looking for something new. I stopped in and it was more than I expected. The service was really good (a pet peeve of mine is when servers touch the glasses by the top of the glass rather than the bottom, but the server passed my test). The food is something new which is great, bceause I hate chains that create the same kind of tastes. Overall this is a gem that I will frequent again and again.

Consistent, delicious, and affordable. One of the best burgers in town, too. If you're not feeling that, the Mediterranean Steak Pita is fantastic. Just remember to get a "little bit of both" for as a side. Blue Cheese dipping sauce should also be a big "Yes".

I love everything about this place, except the service, and even that isn't bad. First of all, start with the (ala mode, with the homemade vanilla bean ice cream). Then check out the daily specials. The sandwiches and salads on the menu are also great. Make sure to get the asian slaw, or better yet, ask for 1/2 asian slaw and 1/2 homemade chips. Enjoy the great coffee, tea, beers or anything else off the beverage menu.

At the heart of Bay View, a great place with tasty and unique dishes. The homemade chips are a must try! They also cater to gluten free folks as well.
