Instructions for replacing headlights in my Toyota Corolla, Step 5:  "Install the rubber cover with the 'TOP' mark upward, and snuggle on the boss."

After having a certain amount of "fun" disputing outrageous and incorrect U-Haul charges today, I get a request for a feedback survey from them including the following somewhat ominous sentence: "U-Haul has your contact information."

Nope! In fact they are celebrating Saada's 50th year with the school... http://engineering.case.edu/eciv/

The content-providing labels, like GladOS, are very much Still Alive. Be sure we'll see another SOPA not too far down the road.

They just need to make the language more vague and sweeping. Maybe something like http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/the-senates-sopa-counterattack-cybersecurity-the-undoing-of-privacy/ (blatantly stolen from Wil Wheaton).

Google: Please bring back the old search control bar, at the top of the screen. Having a menu that included the option to search Scholar was a lot more handy than having a giant space-wasting list on the left that, even expanded, doesn't offer me that option. Even just bringing back Scholar as an option would be great, but the small menubar taking up less space would be optimal.

Oh, it's definitely easy to type in the Scholar address. What's useful, though, is being able to click a link to switch back and forth between relevant papers and relevant website, instead of having to open two tabs and type the same search in twice.

Wow, an article summary consisting entirely of search keywords.  Classy.

Man, why is typing in my G+ update box so incredibly slow? It's like watching a very slow dinosaur take longhand transcription of my thoughts.

Try typing in Google Voice's Android app while a new GV text is being processed. It's as if a single thread is being crudely multi tasked to handle both tasks

Dug my old roller blades out! Managed not to fall in the apartment parking lot for, like, half an hour or so.

Wah! I want rollerblading people here. I'd be willing to risk my recalcitrant right limb!

It's a good thing they had it either free or braided in Tangled, else they'd have to go back and rewrite all the physics code and reanimate the movie.

Finally catching up on G+ and reading this in reverse order, I just get this horrible sinking sensation and the urge to shout "Don't do it, Mark of the Past!" :(

Things you learn doing research: There is a branch of shape analysis called "Procrustes analysis." Even better is the origin of the name: "The name Procrustes refers to a bandit from Greek mythology who made his victims fit his bed either by stretching their limbs or cutting them off." (Wikipedia)
